Here's a posting from dcrtv.com's "mailbag" today, from an "insider" at WJFK.

Dear Dave: As you have been stating that Ron and Fez are making the permanent move to DC this week. Don't you find it odd that none of the staff is coming with them from NY? Is this a coincidence, I think not? I am on the inside at JFK and a big Ron and Fez supporter. I have met the NY crew when they were down here and they are professional to say the least. I want you to know that it is not a coincidence that all the staff members have left already. Do you not think this is odd that none of the staff that made it to #1 in NY in their key demos would be following the down there OK, here is the inside info, both Cameron Gray and Alan the GM did not want any part of the NY crew to be part of the new DC show. This is ridiculous, if this team made it to #1 in NY, what do you think they can do in a smaller market I want you to know this info. That WJFK did not offer any of them anything and they were welcome to travel down there and help out, but when push came to shove, they were not wanted at all. All you have to do is look at infinity radio.com and see the job postings for WJFK, and it lists the positions that Rory and Billy filled. I think this is a travesty and hope you will publish the truth or try to speak with Cameron Gary and see what he says about the situation I'm sorry for being so vague about my identity, but I don to want to lose my job, but on the other hand this is so wrong it makes me sick Sincerely, me

At the "after party" for Fez's birthday I told Rory that Cameron was not a Ron and Fez fan, even though he (at that time) was running the board and working for them. Rory played it off and said it wasn't true.

A friend of mine works in CT and is originally from DC. He came back to visit some family and ended up talking to Cameron somewhere. My friend mentioned how funny R&F are and Cameron shot them down. He said he was stuck running the board and that they were so annoying.

He basically put every radio show down except everyone's favorite, Don and Mike.

My friend has never lied to me and would have absolutely no reason to make this up. I absolutely believe that the letter sent to DCRTV.

You can already hear the repackaging of the show which is fine.

If Cameron was hostile towards R&F it was because he had proved himself with The Junkies, made the decision not to go with them to WHFS, and was biding his time - he had his eye on his prize, which he got. He resented getting stuck running the board; the was clear to anyone who heard the final days the Junks were on the air at night.

That said, he has been a friend to the R&F, and is rooting for them to suceed, and now he's in a positon to help them out. His major interest, as proven by his years of working in the trenches, and really making mediocre shows good (the Junks should be sending portions of their paychecks for helping make them listenable), is WJFK.

His loyalty to Ron and Fez and WJFK may not extend to the rest of the cast, though - who knows if anything 'me' on DCRTV said was true (it read as if it were written by a 14 year old, or someone drunk...or a drunk 14 year old); of all of them, Mikey is the one who really sees a future w/ R&F, so hopefully WJFK will reward him.

The rest may believe that there are better opportunities staying in NY.

All in all, I'm not surprised that WJFK would be interested in making Ron and Fez all about Washington; starting fresh. TR&F made these kind of changes before, so that everyone should know that they can make any and all things work - anything that is thrown at them, they always make it better.
