View Full Version : Piper and Hogan go in the same week, Work?

Now that the dust has settled, and what apparently was THE angle of Smackdown has gone out with a whimper, does anyone think that it's very strange that Piper and Hogan, two men with a distinctly dubious history with the Federation would leave in the same week, as two of the more over guys on Smackdown? I mean, there was certain just cause for Piper, and Hogan/Vince has always been tenuous, so concievably it could even be working the boys. But can Vince really resist the urge to FINALLY get Hogan vs. Piper in the Garden at the next Wrestlemania, no matter how banged up they are? Or for that matter, can he resist inserting himself into the match? These are the prodigal sons and I can't believe that's the last we'll see of them. What are the odds a fast one's being pulled here?

Hopefully it isn't a work at all. Hopefully Vince finally realized it was time to get rid of the oldies. Hopefully next is Nash and Vince himself.

For those of us who don't watch Smackdown, how did they resolve the Mr America storyline?

It happened last night at the tapings, I'm gonna write it in white text, so don't highlight it unless you want to read a spoiler!
Vince showed a clip of Mr. America after last weeks Smackdown! taking off his mask, revealing himself. Vince said now that he has proof HOGANS FIIIIIIIIIRED!!!

Spoiler Response:
I'm glad. Hogan pulled that mask up about 5 times during that match (Not to mention the 10 minutes of posing after). If his ego couldn't let him play it the way it should be but instead force him to get his ego stroked, then get rid of him.

My response to the spoiler:
Hogan is older than dirt, and Piper was a tool. But look on the bright side. At least you can all get thier autographs at horror and comic book conventions for 10 dollars now!

That's really not very fair.
NWA is consistently better than the WWE is at this point.
And if Crash does show up, I'm sure he'll be used far better than he was in WWE, as exampled by D-Lo and Raven.
