Comedy Central played South Park, Bigger, Longer and Uncut over the 4th weekend sometime, and they played it just as it was made.
Now they'er playing it again Sunday night. It seems they can play it after 1AM.
Isn't this a little messed up though? They use the word FUCK more and ANY other movie I can think of!
Any opinions? I don't care. I'm not for censorship. I HATE that I can't hear someone on TV talk like people I go out and talk to in public. It's the old O&A/Ron and Fez argument.

I love this movie so much. When I saw it the first time, I laughed more than I ever did at any movie ever. It's lost some of its luster since it is so reliant on shock comedy, but it is a great satire. That scene where Stan is trying to talk to his mom at the rally and she's just ignoring him is satire at its best. Also good is when Cartman blames all his bad language on the movie. Again, hitting the nail on the head.
What's really fucked up is that all the big pay cable networks like HBO and Showtime passed on it. They have no problem airing porn at 11 at night, but they can't show South Park?

Yea i had comedy central on last night and I thought just another South Park episode was on. Then all of a sudden I heard 'Shut the fuck up you fucking Jew.'
I had no idea they could play this movie unedited and I dont know how they got it on the air, but whatever. The movie's decently entertaining so Its been good watching the past two nights.
The funniest part of the movie is when Terrance and Phillip are on Conan O'Brien and Brook Sheilds is like 'One time I farted on the set of Blue Lagoon.' and Terrance looks at her and slaps her. Great stuff.
They use the word FUCK more and ANY other movie I can think of!
Ever see Scarface?

You can swear as much as you want on cable since its a pay service, most cable networks just don't and censor themseleves. Thats why CC did the "fuck" episode of South Park and showed the movie uncut.
I hadn't seen the movie since it came out on video. It was still good.

Cable, even basic cable, can actually swear and show what they want...they just choose not to for the most part to attract the most viewers possible. Shows like "South Park" and "Nip/Tuck" and that shit-awful ESPN football show get away with plenty of language and "adult situations." They choose not to go all-out to avoid alienating too many viewers and advertisers...and all the money they provide.

I don't know what was funnier: the movie itself or the fact that I was hearing "fuck" on basic cable. I turned it on right as Mr. Garrison was pointing to "fuck" on the blackboard. Mmmkay?

True Jon, but you have to wonder: What would Brian Boitano do?

He would kick an ass or two, that's what Brian Boitano would do.
And did anyone else catch the SP special on VH1 last month. I thought the most interesting thing is that now that they've done the "shit" episode, they can say shit anytime they want on the show, according to the network, but they can't actually do it because within the mythology of the show, shit has become an unspeakable word.
