Yes, I was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout. It was fun, except for the gay Scoutmasters!

did the cub scout thing.the best part was the pinewood derby racers.build your racer out of a kit that they gave and then race it down an incline track against the rest of the troop.

All bow your heads in reverential awe: you are in the presence of a former Pinewood Derby winner.

Former Brownie turned Girl Scout. I still have my Brownie uniform and all. I can still get badges for good merit these days.... ;)

Tiger Scout, Cub Scout, Boy Scout - military officer - I am really into the institutionalized thing.
Pinewood Derby was great, but too many fathers really made the cars.

Cub Scout...I dropped out before Boy Scouts, the whole thing was getting too political. I hated that damn Pinewood Derby too!

The greatest part of being a Boy Scout was getting a knife and an axe. They taught you how to clean them, sharpen them and use them. I wish they had guns.

I was in BoyScouts from 1986-1991. I was in the Edison Chapter in Middlesex County & I think it was called Pack 84. The coolest thing was I got to go to Boy Scout Camp in Bergen County for a whole summer in 1989. My Aunt & Uncle lived up in Maywood, near Hackensack NJ and I got to spend my whole summer just hanging with my cousin at the day camp. We even got to do archery & shoot the hell out of stuff with BB Guns. I remember whenever you'd do a class you'd get a bead to attach to your strap & at the end of the summer the person with the most got a prize or something. I remember one day my group had to do a seminar for the the Ranger of the woods. We had to show all our skills at archery, but the coolest thing was me & my cousin hit bullseyes every shot we took & the guy was amazed. I think he allowed us to get free soda & candy that day for a job well done. That place was awesome. The camp right by it was Camp NoBeBosco, where they shot Friday the 13th part 1 (check out IMDB shooting Locations if you don't believe me). I made it up to Webeloes, but didn't want to continue after it.
