Ever listen to a song and think you know what's being said and have it turn to be something not even remotely close? For the longest time I thought the ending of Smells like Teen Spirit was "bloody nile" instead of "the denial"...

Karma police
What i thought:
Hes like a ditch in uranium
Real lyrics:
Hes like a de-tuned radio
Feel free to call me a retarted moron because I am. I've probably screwed up more radiohead songs but i cant recall anything big.

I had no idea what Kurt was screaming at the end of Smells Like Teen Spirit either.
One that always cracks me up is the first few times I heard Don Henley's Boys Of Summer I thought the refrain went like:
After the poison, sun of a gun...
instead of
After the boys of summer have gone...

Smashing Pumpkins "Disarm" i thought:
'inside of me and such a part of you'
was
'sodomy is such a part of you'

I got to tell you pokers his thing
i thought it was
up all night with the king
i got to tell you to focus this thing
one time i bought a Grand Funk "import" cd from Japan, they provided the lyrics according to how they heard them. The mis-interpetations were pretty funny and alot of them made no sense at all...

I thought it was "R-U-L-E" as in Ja Rule who was on the record. It's really sad that I even think about this shit.

When my brother was little he always thought(i dont know the band or song name) that the chorus
"Everytime you go away you take a piece of me with you"
was
"Everytime you go away you take a piece of meat with you"

I thought it was "My name is Lucy so please take my hand."
It's really "My name is Lucifer, please take my hand.''

The partin the middle when he sings a bunch of high pitch stuff rest fast and I still dont know what he says but i made up my own lines:
(seems like a Gods got a something an somethin etc) Replace with:
grunting and groaning and moaning and fucking and sucking and eating a pussy that just might be stinkin....
:few strums on the guitar:
(reach for the line if i reach it in time, take you up there where the path runs straight and hiiiigh)
replace with:
Dick in her ass and one in her mouth, blew my load all over the fucking coooouuuch

What I thought: All alone is all we are.
What it is: All in all we all are.
Personally, I like my lyrics better! :)

Pearl Jam's Yellow Ledbetter (I know it's been discussed elsewhere before)...you pick the line, I didn't have a clue, but sang along anyway. I would have loved to see what a court stenographer would have come up with while listening to that song.
