Which game do you plan of getting this year? Madden comes out for the PS2 next month and I'm really looking forward to it.

I only play Madden games and Im gonna be sure to pick up Madden 2004 when it comes out.

I also like playing Blitz, but only in the arcades.

Madden 2004 for sure. It just gets better every year. Plus, this year I have the network adapter, so if anyone wants to play, let me know. We should set something up for anyone with the game and the adapter when the game comes out in August.

EA's NHL 2003 was horrible, I bought it and stopped playing after Stump12 got 2K3. 2k3 is so much better hockey.

ill give ya that one fallon. somewhere around 97-98 the hockey at ea took a little back seat. for some reason though, alot of hockey games suck. its seems to be harder to get good graphics and game play using hockey, i dont know but they all suck

i agree, but 2k, 2k1, and 2k3 were all better than their Live counterparts.

and snoogs, madden on ps1 was horrible i thought. i much preferred Gameday. oh and compare all the triple plays to their 'MLB' counterparts.

EA is a good developer. and their the best at sports games, but they arent perfect. and i eagerly anticipate NFL Street.

Network Adaptor: $40
Headset: $40 (might as well just by SOCOM and get a headset and the game for $60)

Okay I got the router yesterday, network adaptor today and my friend (who works w/ PC's) is making me a 15ft cable. So when the game comes out Tuesday I should be all set and online!

I'll be gettin' Madden on PS2 as well. I bought the network adapter with the game last year. It's really cool and simple. You go into a chat room and ask people to play or just chat. You can pick from 1 minute to 15 minute games. Everybody goes for the 5 minute and under games. There are also rankings. You will not be ranked unless you have a fairly big winning record. You'll lose point for disconnecting, even if it's not your fault (lost connection, freeze up, etc.) You can chat with the other player duiring gameplay, but you gotta do it in the pause menu.
Apparently, EA got rid of any of the cheat stuff, except gameshark. They suggest that if you play someone and they have 2 controllers showing, 1 may be the shark, so don't play them.
To be honest, I got my ass handed to me many a time, but I'm a little better.
You can also make your own private chat room, so I suggest that we make a R&F.net room, so we know who's who. ;p

Madden has online play, and my dolphins will kill all yalls.

I just bought a 50ft Cat-5 cable and lead it to my PS2 from my Cable modem. When i wanted online with ps2 id switch cables. But now i have a router and i can be online trash talking and kicking ass online.

Anyone play NCAA online? Im always up for a challenge. Jamal Lord and Big Red gonna run all over you.

Madden of course..it's the greatest football series ever and 2004 may just be the best football game ever I just love that owner mode...the thought of being able to set prices for hot dogs with my playstation controller just makes playing Maddens franchise mode that much better..all the other football games suck but I am definitely going to get my hands on NFL street
