Mets trade Jeromy Burnitz

Well the Mets are still cleaning house , today thay traded Jeromy Burnitz to the Dodgers for 3 minor leaguers.
In exchange for Burnitz, MSG Network is reporting that the Mets will receive infielder Victor Diaz, who is hitting .291 with 54 RBI in 86 games in Double-A this year, Double-A righthander Joselo Diaz and Single-A righthander Kole Strayhorn, who is 5-2 with a 2.93 ERA and 9 saves this year.

Please for the love of God get Armando Benitez off this team. He may be the worst closer of all time.

They traded Burnitz before Benitez? I really hope they absolutely cant find anyway to get rid of Benitez because thats the only reason they shouldve traded Burnitz. Burnitz has contributed the most to this Mets team this year and I cant see any reason to have unloaded him other then that they couldnt find any trade for Benitez.

The Mets management is never gonna learn.

as a mets fan what do u expect? im sorry i expect them to go 0-162 every year. so every win is an unexpected good thing. i feel the same about the knicks. and normally i feel this way about the jets, but im oddly optimisitic about next season.

i really dont know where i stand on this... im not thrilled or disapointed that the dodgers got burnitz... guess time will only tell hopefully he will be like every met player traded and do great things..

Don't you know your laws of physics. As soon as a current Met leaves the Mets, they become good again. I hate Benitez but i would do this trade. It is better than what they have now. If he gets his head on straight Yankees will be unstoppable with Benitez and Rivera. Send Benitez to tampa for a week and let Torre talk with him and he will be fine.
