View Full Version : Does anyone still like Limp Bizkit?
So last week I won some tickets to the Limp Bizkit show tonight at Webster Hall and I was kind of excited. I enjoy their music, and aside from their remix album they put out last year, I've never had a problem with them. So I started to ask friends if they would like to go, and aside from 2 who couldn't go because they already had plans, everyone else pretty much laughed in my face saying how they haven't been into them for at least 2 years. So now I'm going with my bro-in-law that doesn't really like them, but would rather go then stay at home.
When did Limp Bizkit "jump the shark" and would anyone would have wanted to go?

Completely melodramatic since birth .
Yeah? And? What am I supposed to listen to, Blink?
Aside from the problem of playing the same exact music everyday at the same exact time, it would be the only thing I still enjoy on the radio.

In my opinion, Limp Bizkit's music was a fad from the late 90s, similar to that poppy industrial sound that was the trend in the mid-90s. It seemed destined to disappear. After awhile, Fred's whiney voice just began to grate on me. I think they jumped the shark when Fred began to pick fights with Creed's lead singer. Fighting with Scott Strapp is like fighting a grandmother, and it proved to me what a joke Fred was, even to the mainstream crowd.
Either this or the Mission Impossible theme song.

My friend knows them from Florida. A few years ago I got to hang out with them on their tourbus. They got off stage and when they got on the bus, they took off their socks and THREW THEM AWAY. Fred had some hot blonde chick and was too busy to hang with the band. The other guys were preoccupied with finding "trees" in south Jersey. We hung out and ate their fruit & cheese platters. Once Wes left the band, they lost whatever they had.

I saw Limp Bizkit at DFp: Summer Sanitarium this year, and THEY KICKED ASS! They came on right before the head liner, Metallica, and they were surprisingly good. They amped up the crowd, got us all on our feet. Fred Durst even jumped off the stage and went into the stands. I enjoy they're music, but didnt think they could pull off a live performance, but they did! I am now and forever will be a Limp Bizkit fan!
I'll brb, I have to listen to track 8 on the chocolate covered starfish LP.

I saw Limp Bizkit get booed off stage at Roseland when they opened up for Faith No More in 1997. I had known them from the limited airplay that WSOU gave "Faith". I didn't really hate them at the time. They were just OK. I sort of feel the same about them now.

I thought that "Faith" cover they broke on the scene with was OK, but that mother fucker is so HORRIBLE on the mic that I quickly started to hate them.

I don't know who it was but someone on this board said that there are a poor man's Korn...after I heard someone put it down like that about them, I realized they got too much attention for so little talent. Fred's voice is so annoying

The real question should be, why did anyone ever like them in the first place?
I laugh at all of you who ever did.
Fighting with Scott Strapp is like fighting a grandmother, and it proved to me what a joke Fred was, even to the mainstream crowd.
As pretentious and potentially sissy soft as Stapp is, there's no one that could convince me that Durst could take him in an actual fight.
I'm sure even Eminem could kick Fred's ass.

Their first album (Three Dolla Bill Ya'll) while having a shitty name was actually quite good, more screaming, and thats what i like. If i can understand you, A. your voice better be DAMN good, and B. you better have some cool lyrics, and thats where KoRn and Limp hit the shitter. You started to see the real Fred the dick that he is, and he started to actual sing which is NO GOOD. As for KoRn, well take a listen and youll hear that screechy voice, band that could do so much more, and lyrics that SU-HUCK. Stick with the old stuff, much better.

the phrase" jump the shark" jumpeed the shark once everyone started over using it.
I kinda like Limp Bizkit, but I think everyone can tell that Fred Durst is no Zack Dela Rocha. Limp Bizkit is better when it just leant toward rocking. I don't see the need for the elemetary school level rhyming.
Nookie still kicks ass!
And I don't mix my feelings toward Fred Durst in his life with the music that his group puts out. I bet that eminem would probably be a fucking jerk to me, but he's still a talented lyricist.

Never liked them. Except the MI:2 theme (The version without the lame vocals) They didn't write it and it does rock!
