new PS2 version coming out

it seems that sony is planning to release a souped-up version of PS2 that is coming out in the US in 2004. The new PSX will include a TV tuner, a rewriteable DVD player and a hard disk drive. As such, it enables users to record movies and music on the box in addition to playing PS 2 and PlayStation games.

They're just trying to milk the PS2 for all it's worth, before they introduce PS3.

the articles says that ps3 will come out in 2006 because of sony releasing the new version of ps2
