View Full Version : Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

Speaking of white kids selling chocolate....
When I was a kid I remember Reese's P.B. Cups actually having a Peanut Butter center.
I bought a pack one day about 7or 8 years ago and they tasted liked powder. I thought to myself, 'bad pack'. I continued buying the cups. They continued to suck. I noticed that the wrapping was also different.
Then I bought a pack from my little cousin selling them for school and they tasted like the originals.
I bought them at the store again, and they tasted like shit.
Does anyone know what the fuck happened to these things?
Later,

Your cousin probably had a fresh batch. I'm guessing that the longer they sit on the shelf, the more likely they are to turn to that "powder" consistency.

Oh that's simple... those black kids selling the candy at the malls and on the train lace the cups with drugs. So, does your little cousin REALLY donate the money he makes to the boys and girls club?

Look at me not saying a damn thing.
PB Cups are still the shit as far as I go. I can handle the occasional cup during the summer but come Fall, the official start of Reese's Peanut Butter Specialty Candy Season, I go apeshit. First the PB Pumpkins, then the PB Christmas Trees, then the PB Valentines Hearts and finishing up with the PB Easter Eggs. Not only those but the super duper LARGE versions of each of those treats too. The BIG PB Bunny RULES!

I forgot Fluff. Aren't you the one that said you stocked up on Reese's PB products right before they stopped making them last Easter? I can't argue. They are great!
So now I've got the weakness for Bacon and Fluff has one for PB candy products.

Yeah but unfortunately, I came to a scary realisation this past weekend that my health is at a slight risk and it is time to start to be concerned about my eating habits. Gotta hold off on those PB Eggs, Cups, Bacon and anything else potentially dangerous.
Anyone got a light?
The fall is gonna be tough right now because I hope to be in shape by then and HOPEFULLY have some sort of physique that doesn't resemble something that could fit in any bottle I get poured into.

Remember the commercial where 1 person was walking eating their chocolate. Then the other one was eating their peanut butter. The nsomehow they both collided and stated, "You have my peanut butter in your chocolate" and the other "You have my chocolate in your peanut nutter". And they ended up liking the new combo of chocolate and peanut butter.

I think Trent Reznor said it best when he said that "Reese's PB Cups are the best candy because they have the right mix of chocolate and that nasty peanut butter shit."
And Reese's never had real peanut butter, but they get kinda dried if they sit too long.

If you buy a large quantity of Reese's, they don't taste the same. I recently bought a bag of individually wrapped Reese's and they were terrible. Same can be said for the long strip of individually wrapped ones. The only way to guarantee the real deal is when you buy the regular duo of Reese's. Do a taste test and you'll see what I mean!

I understand the whole bad batch defense, but I know for a fact Reese's changed one day for the worse.
They became powdery and the chocolate is not the same.
I still have yet to buy a pack of Reese's that tastes like the original.
Something happened to the Reese's peanut butter and chocolate at Hershey.

here's a joke about these recent comments: "it really bothers me when someone is so lazy they take a shit wherever they happen to be at a particular moment without bothering to sit down on a toilet." i like this joke because it has thematic elements in common with harry's pants material.
