Cartoon 'Futurama' Ending After 4 Seasons
NEW YORK - A prediction: Viewers eons from now will give "Futurama" the credit it deserves today.
Oh, it may not make them laugh. But when the show's time finally comes, this shrewd cartoon series could well be endorsed as an accurate picture of life, circa A.D. 3000.
For now, however, we ancients of the 21st century who love it will continue to celebrate "Futurama" as unbeatable satire - even as its prime-time cycle nears an end.
Fortunately, "Futurama" reruns air on Cartoon Network at 11 p.m. EDT Sundays through Thursdays as part of that network's "Adult Swim" program block. Next month, the second "Futurama" season will be released on DVD by Fox Home Entertainment.
And on the Fox network, the final three new "Futurama" episodes can be seen Sundays at 7 p.m. through Aug. 10... Yahoo! News has more. (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=494&ncid=494&e=4&u=/ap/20030725/ap_en_tv/ap_on_tv_futurama)

Wasn't this canceled like a year ago?
I was unaware Fox still even aired it.
Oh well, they've got probably a 100 episodes under their belt, and the reruns on Adult Swim will likely continue for some time.

It's about time. I'm glad Fox put this show out of its misery. This show was slated as the next coming of the Simpsons. I don't think so. I could never get into this show.

Like Se7en said, hasn't it been "absent" for at least all of last season?

Meh, it gives Fox more space to finally bring back Family Guy.

Unfortunately, it was replaced with Home Movies last nite.

Yeah, I was hoping to see the "Fry goes to college" episode for the fifth time in two months.
Why can't they put "Home Movies" back on at 10:30 like it used to be? Then there'd be an hour and a half of killer 'toon-'tainment right up until midnight.

I been watching the replays on the superstation, and it's not as good as The Simpsons, but it's got its funny moments.

Hank Hill is the only uptight, Southern conservative on Fox that I can stand.

The Simpsons and Family Guy kept FOX alive. Futurama was alright, and I dont know why they postponed the new epesodes until the summer. Family Guy was funny as hell and FOX needs to bring it back. The Simpsons has pretty much jumped the shark after 14 seasons. I can enjoy 1 or 2 more seasons but they are running out of ideas. FOX here in NY is a real bitch because I take 1 hour out of my life everyday to watch the simpsons, and they keep showing the same fucking epesodes over and over. I dont think I've ever seen epesodes from the first 5 seasons.

Ag, this time I agree with you! ~~ <-- That's for Hosp! This series kicks ass too if you learn the characters and plot lines, just like R/F and O/A. Bender, Zoidberg and Fry are fucking hilarious. Ever catch the episode where they crash on the planet of the Amazons? They ripped on women so bad, yet sooo good.

And you may not like it! But you will learn to love it!
