There are people out there who have very low self esteem and self worth and there are people out there who just think the world of themselves and have the biggest egoes ever. What I want to know is, what is more annoying/worse in your opinion?

Double edged sword.

Big Ego- no one likes a big ego, it's possibly the most obnoxious trait a person could have.

Low Esteem-Very annoying to deal with someone who is constantly putting themselves down and acting liek a negative nancy.

i voted big ego and ill tell you why...i think it is a lot easier for someone with low self esteem to feel better about themselves than for someone with a big ego to come back down to reality.

It is double edged in a way. While I have lots of confidence in many areas, there are some that I don't have as much. I think this gives me an evenly balanced ego that goes between the two.

As for self worth, you need it to survive, have
strength and will power. Like anyone we all have our bad days, but then there's the positives of life. I have people who make me feel good, especially one in particular who can take those bad days and make them better. Overall I value life and the people I know, love and care for. So my self-worth is high.

I am always working to improve my self confidence in areas where I need fixing though. Sort of like a work in progress.

I, too, believe this to be double-edged. On one hand you have Luke Perry but on the other you have Ian Ziering. See what I mean? On one side you've got Bob Eubanks and on the other you have Bob Uker? Got me? On the left you have Gizmo and on the right you have Stripe. See? Basically what I'm saying is you can't trust these here Gremlins because as soon as you give them a little beer and chicken they try and bury an ax in your back, the little bastards, I says we outlaw dese dam Gremlins! I says we nab 'em and a-tear 'em apart limb by limb! Now let's saddle up and ride to the west 'till the sun cries uncle! Yeeehhhaaaw!!!

I hate a big head. There are so many times I have struggled with my lack of self-esteem and self-worth but you can always climb the ladder back up from said feelings and know when to stop when the air begins to get a bit thin.

I am in a spot right now where I do think very highly of myself but I have always been afraid of taking myself too seriously or having a big ego.

Itis not so much a self-esteem thing for me anymore as it is a shyness and intimidation of others. That is why I hardly ever go out to any events becasue although I feel comfortable with people here or in any other online community, there is still the human factor that scares me shitless.

There are those who just act like their shit don't stink and I could never understand why.

Dave,

Are you playing the next game? I want you on our fucking team again. You one crazy funny mofo!

EGO - annoying / you can usualy decipher between confidence and ego. Confident=more power to ya. Ego=go fuck yourself.

Low-esteem - annoying if a person continues to admit they have it but do nothing about it. Otherwise just be their friend...

there are double edges in any question. i say its better to know someone with low self esteem because its alot easier to make someone with low self esteem feel good then it is to take a big ego down a peg. any compliment will make someone feel better, but cocky pricks just shove it off if someone says something bed to them

I voted for low self esteem being worse, both to have and to observe. Yeah, people can be pricks with too much of an ego, but at least they get out and experience life--theyre not afraid.

I voted for big ego.

I've had both as friends. The big egos generally are quiet about your successes in life and very gleeful about you failures. The low self esteems are generally the opposite.

I've had both as employees. The big egos do very little work but take most of the credit. The low self esteems do most of the work and take none of the credit.

Since I'm not greatly affected by people's low self esteem, I voted for Big Ego because I hate a SOB who cant think outside their life.

I like people with low self esteem better because they tend to leave me alone.
