We give them special privileges, parades, and now a school. In my religon being Gay is not accepted, and thats what i beleive. But i respect the choices people make and if they want to be gay, super. But why must we keep them segregated, why cant they act like everyone else, why must they "act" gay. Now i know not all of them do this, but the ones that do annoy me, you dont need to talk like a girl, wear incredibly tight clothing, limp your wrist, or say words like "super". Just act human and keep your sexual preferences to yourself.

It's not a "gay only" school.

It was a primarily gay community center that's become a school.

You don't have to be gay to go to the school. Anyone can go. It's just offered as a more "gay-friendly" schooling environment. But anyone who wants to can go.

I see alot of problems with the shower/bathroom situation. This opens up opportunity for soap Dr0pping, swordfights and stinkfingers. Also, if some gay kid is taking a shit, another gayboy will smell it and immediately get horny. How so? No new law was passed. The school is perfectly "legal". And the key thing ignored here and in most news reports is that ANYONE can go. It's just based out of what was a gay community center and the first class of 100 is all-gay. But after that the sky is the limit. The only difference from a "regular" school is that it's smaller and the homosexual students are in the majority as opposed to the minority. But you don't have to be gay to attend and the school is NOT "gay-only." So how is that segregation? It's an option, not a forced ruling or seperation. You can go there if you want...odds are there will just be MANY more gay students than straight.

Sorry, but a school where homosexuals are in the majority is not realistic and does a disservice to the students. It gives them an environment where they are universally accepted and understood. This seems positive, but unfortunatel fails to prepare them for the life ahead of them.

Those already exist. You go to communities where the population is predominantly one race, that's what you're going to find at the school. There really aren't "gay communities"...there's no "Gaytown" next to "Chinatown"...so things had to be modified here. But again, people, you're not really understanding "segregation." It would only be "segregation" if they said "NOBODY else can go to this school except for gay people." They haven't. Anyone CAN go to this school. The first class is just all-gay because the student population is being carried over from the people that attended the community center.. And the following classes will probably be mostly gay for many years to come. But at no point is it said, ruled or stated that "non-gays" cannot go to this school. If they choose to go and they get in, boom, they're there. Nobody can stop them or screen them out for being "not gay". If that happens, then you have segregation and then you have a serious problem.

And NYD, this isn't a requirement. Again, it's an option. Gay people don't HAVE to go to this school of 100 students. And socially, high school prepares NOBODY for the "real world", so let's Dr0p that illusion right away. Plenty of gay people would choose to go to "regular" public and private schools and colleges. This isn't some law saying that all gay people must go to special schools. IT'S AN OPTION. A choice. And neither way is it saying "you can go to an all-gay school or an all-straight school." You can go to a majority one way or the other, but NOT all or nothing. And what's wrong with that? I mean, like I said before, based on communities' racial makeups, kids could easily go to school somewhere where it's basically almost ALL white or ALL Hispanic or ALL black or ALL Asian, yet THESE schools don't give kids a skewed view of the world as you claim a school with a population majority of homosexuals would?
