i have this song stuck in my head:
it's a female singer, kind of quirky, it's about five years old, it got a lot of play on 106.3, the band played a free show at the wtc borders around 1998 and the lyrics are something like "...... to prove how much ...... i moved to alaska (or nebraska) ..... that's how far ....."
to make matters worse, i'm pretty sure i have the single (or on a cmj disc) and i can't think of the artist's name ......
thanks

You need just a few more lyrics, then a quick search with Google or Yahoo with those lyrics will generally point you to the song. I've found many songs that way. Generally all you need is a complete sentence or two. Next time you hear it, try to get more lyrics.

if it was as easy as avril ...
i usually use yahoo all the time to quelch my inquiries ...
unfortunately, i can't think of a complete sentence for the song -- just those unconnected series of words ... and given the state of modern radio, i doubt i'll ever hear it again ...
(as an aside -- for the horror of k-rock and the confusion of wdre/wlir, i really do miss the mid to late 90s of jersey's 106.3 ....)
thanks again for the help
