this is yet another reason why I hate the NY post: bad bad puns.

If they are getting the Segways really cheap, I don't mind, segways can move faster than a man and have excellent manuverability, and a cop won't tire on one.

But if it's too expensive, its not worth it.

As for the cost, it's free at least during the trial period. I dont think we'll use em beyond that. It's just too expensive a piece of equipment that can easily be stolen left unattended. It's a nice community relations conversation starter, but thats as far as it goes as I see it. You will NOT be seeing me on one.

How fast do those things go? the fastest ive seen um go is like 10 mph at the most, and i dont know about you guys but i can run faster than that. And im chubby too.

I've seen reports that have them at top speeds over 20 mph. the post says 10 mph, so its probably somewhere in between
