Yeah, so it was only a matter of time before my next injury, and this one kicked me in the balls.

Its your average bright, sunny Virginia day. So my friends call me and we break out the longboards, a 6 foot behemoth of a skateboard made for going down hills at 25+ mph. We started out with some warm-up hills, pretty easy stuff. Then we went to our biggest hill, our favorite. I had noticied nothing wrong with my board untill mid-way down the hill.

The Trucks were loose. Meaning at 30mph, they were going to speed wobble and the board would be extremely hard to control.

Thats exactly what happened.

I dont really know what happened, I remeber falling down, putting my hands out and then closing my eyes when my head hit the concrete. After that, i laid there for a min, got up a lil' drowsy and walked it off a bit. Then I passed out. Then i was helped to my feet (225 at 6'3, any fall is gonna hurt)

I got home and checked out my scrapes and cuts. One on the hand, the skin turned raw from putting my hand out to catch the fall. One one the elbow, arm length from sliding. One on my chin from where i hit my head first, and one under my eye like as if i had been punched out by mike tyson.

So now i have to goto my guitar lesson, which means lots of explaining to do to people on how this happened.

Do I want to longboard again? Yes. Will I do it on that same hill? Yes. Im gonna get some revenge on that fucking road.

Actually, it does suck that you burned out like that. The last house I lived in had a pretty big hill on it and i fell off my skateboard going down it once and ripped up my hands and forearm pretty bad. Hope your shit heals soon.

That sucks man, and sounds very painful too. A few years ago I tried standing up in a sled while going down a huge hill and wrecked. Cut up my face pretty bad, and was in pain for a long time.

you wanna know whats worse. a long board fall that injures you and costs money. i was flyin down this bike path hill in my town on a 4 foot long board, prob ranging close to 25. I come up to this stick in the path and tried to swerve around it, but couldnt turn hard enough and clipped it. i came off the path and landed in the wooded grass area. i had the prerequested fall stop scratches, but i also landed on my 2 week old 200 dollar cell phone. i completely shattered the screen on the phone as well as driving it into my hip. i could barely walk for a week from the hip being sore and had to go buy another 200 dollar phone

Im lucky i didnt break a thing, and was able to walk away. I think that why i didnt scream profanity after i fell and got up, i was so in shock that i was walking. Then i passed out, prolly from teh shock of it all.

Ive had 11, and thats exactly what it looks like. you hit your head and got up and didnt yell cause your brain got a little rattled and couldnt think to. the gettin right back up is a shock reaction, as everyone tries to pop right back up after. then when everything caught up you passed out from the effects of the concussion. If you get a couple head aches the next few days take migraine medicine. if not, your a lucky bastard
