I layed out for about 2 hours this afternoon to get some color. My lilly white thighs, belly, and shoulders are now certainly colored, but its a painfull shade of crimson! I have been trying to function all day, walking though Walmart and shopping and stuff, but boy, am I SO not looking forward to wearing long pants at work tomorrow!
Im sipping some scotch to take the pain down a notch, but Id welcome and home spun remedies or tidbits of information as to how I can get this gone as fast as possible!

Rub vinegar into your skin. I've heard that helps.

TIME! gonna take a day or two for the HEAVY STING to subside... soak in a tub with room-temperature water...

them legs remind me of a candy cane...

Most Important! Stay away from direct sunlight. It will make your neck and ears feel like they are on fire...

same thing happened to me in St Thomas. i spent 4 days on the beach with a 4 sunblock(no problem). The 5th day i used oil(big mistake)... it took a couple days and i was comfortable...

As a fellow paleface who goes from white to lobster in the sun, I say keep sippin' the Glenlivet until numbness sets in.

The booze is gonna make ya feel fine now but it's gonna dehydrate you so I suggest starting with some serious water intake; sun exposure usually dehydrates you just itself, and dehydration is one of the main hangover ingredients. Yeah, water suck, but your body needs it.

Take 2 Aspirin, NOT TYLENOL. The aspirin won't help much directly with the pain [it's not really a pain-killer]. But it's a vasodilator and that's helps getting the healing-ocules to the burned-ocules.

Tylenol [acetominophen] puts a strain on the Hepatic System, and mixed with booze, or even taken many hours after drinking, can cause liver damage.

Ouch. I feel your pain...

Oh, and if you're reading this and you go to those tanning salons, anyone wanna guess which type of cancer is being seen in bigger and bigger numbers, and is easily the fastest growing type of cancer?[growing meaning the increase in # who get it; not metastisization]

Melinoma?
There is this absolutely gorgeous woman that sits next to me at work, and she calls herself a "sun worshiper" and shes younger than me and I see that she has the beginnings of wrinkles and moles. I usually stay away from the sun because I had a mole removed and it was borderline.
Mike, about a year and a half ago I was doing online reaserch for a friend of mine, also named Mike and we were looking for images and I was using Google image search and I remember seeing your site! I remember you and Carl Segan's picture you had on your site, small world huh?
