Last night I was in Baltimore, and on the way home I tuned into "Live 105" to see who they had on in the evenings - and it was Tom Lickass!

Ugggh!

Maybe the worst, most painful thing I've ever heard. Reminded me of why I hate LA radio. And while I've never been an O&A fan, it is pretty ballsy that he gets away with his "Flashing Friday," or whatever he calls his "WOW" rip-off.

It just seems obvious to me that since DC and Baltimore are so close, then why not adopt the same line-up on the two sister stations? Those guys in Baltimore between Stern and Don and Mike are pretty good, and could work just as well between them down here, and Ron and Fez could rule Baltimore.

I am through wishing the Junkies would come back from HFS; let them stew there. Plus, if it puts Bill O'Reilly and Tom Lykess out on their asses, then all the better!

Stern
Bill and Thrill
Don and Mike
Ron and Fez

(Oh...those of you who hate the DC callers, wait until you hear the ones from Baltimore, hon!)

I think one road to get R&F back on in NY is through Baltimore. I am no longer convinced that they need to ride anyone elses coattails for syndication, but (if getting back on in New York is a goal of theirs) if they could get just one more big market into their cap, then maybe...it wouldn't hurt.

Did You KnowT: live 105 has a much more powerful signal than WJFK, in some cases reaching portions of the *DC* market which barely get JFK (ie: PG and Montgomery Counties)

Actually, don't tell WJFK, but I can pick up live 105 in Arlington and Alexandria.

yeah I figured as much- I drive a 78 monte carlo though, so it;s a little more "catch as catch can"...though I've really never been able to get JFK in most of PG county

Kop this is what I have been saying for a while. We need to get this train rolling back up the coast. Baltimore 1st , Philly 2nd and then home in NYC. From there the boys can branch out to other markets. They take over the east coast and move westward.

Radio Psychic -- Ron and Fez top 3 by the end of 2003.

They need a few more Books before the station can sell the nationals because in terms of talent and formatics, it's different then most other FM Talks. Imagining is dicey too. Monthly's are great and all, but everyone in the industry knows both the Arbs and the Birches have huge margin skewing, and now with FCC relaxing the TCA that means consolidation into basically Clear Channel, Infinity, and everything else. A couple of Quarterly Books and trends first please, then see how things settle on the Hill.

[can you tell i just got back from a radio station meeting?]
