Hello!
My name is chris and I would like to introduce myself to the regulars of this message board. After listening to this and the same shows you guys probuably listen to and lurking around this message board for along time without posting (i made one post yesterday to plug my website) id like to introduce myself.
I am a twenty two year old from Maryland. I have been into comedy radio since I was about fourteen. First show I ever heard was the don and mike show, a show you guys probuably hate and a show that I can honestly not give a reason for listening to other than the fact that its the only comedy radio show offered in my area durring my drive home from work. I would have to say that my favorite radio shows of all time would be stern and o&a... god i miss o&a:(
I am pursuing a degree in computer science from st marys university.. a small college located in historic st marys city. In my free time I make music, mainly freestyle raps. Even though I can rap and change my voice to sound more "urban" I am more of a nerd than a G, the rap music is more something that me and my friends laugh at. I also like to write about my personal philosophies concerning life. anyways I love ron and fez... I have listened to them since they started comming on wjfk pretty late at night. I remeber when I first heard the show I thought it was a show about computers and the internet because it was called ron and fez.com . I soon learned it was more of a continous string of sarcasim and inside jokes, something that I love.
I love the community that ron and fez have created and though I may sound gay for saying it I would love to get to know you guys and become active on this message board... if I try to talk to people around here about the show they dont know what the fuck I am talking about, and most people I play it for in my car would rather hear music and end up getting pissed at me for indulging in my talk radio addiction:P
Radio in my area has become so borring without opie and anthony. God I loved the line up we had for awhile...
it was stern, then d&m, then o&a then r&f, after that it was re runs of either o&a r&f or d&m
now I work nights so I cannot hear stern, after that we have fucking BILL ORIELY (VOMIT), don and mike, ron and fez, then some real money show thats fucking stupid. Don and Mike are in no way funny anymore so basically my radio station has one show worth investing time in (ron and fez)
I was thinking today about opie and anthony.. i loved when anthony would do his mike tyson impression.. that shit was fucking hilarious. I think my favorite radio moment was that one day fued between don and mike and o&a. Don and mike ripped on o&a before their show then o&a murdered them durring their slot. I was glued to my radio for about eight hours that day.. i even called out sick from work just to listen:)
I love it when radio shows fight with each other!
I am also a avid online gammer. I love massivly multiplayer online games like Ultima Online, EQ, Asherons Call, DaOC, Shadowbane, Continum, Unreal Tourney, quake etc. etc.
Thats one reason I loved o&a because they would talk about computer games. I even met with anthony on eq one day to hook him up with some platinum;)
I have a couple of questions maybe you guys could help me out with
1) is there a place to download o&a's shows.. i need a o&a fix bad and i can never seem to find whole shows (other than 9-11 one, last episode, and don and mike fight ) on web or kazaa
2) I would like to download o&a's xfl pregames shows, I noticed someone posted screen shots of them on some thread.. is there a spot to download them?
3) I would like to see a picture of sweet mellissa.. i wana see the face thats given me so many hard on's:)
4) Was there a inside joke as to why the show was called ron and fez.com? or was it a advertisement for the page?
5) ron is straight right? hes not like fezs secret ass pal or so
