phazing out of the voice guy

is it just me or is the voice guy ([deepvoice] ITS THE RON AND FEZ SHOW 1067 WJ...F...K!) is slowly being phased out? i heard about this on don and mike. hes being switched with this annoying high pitched guy who does the commercial for the website. ([high poitched fag voice] no shit! we have a website?) i like the deep vioce guy!

Is "the deep voice" guy you are talking about named Dude Walker? He is the one that does a lot of stuff for WJFK and Don & Mike and bunch of other stations.

Yeah thats it. Dude Walker is being switched for some loser that sounds like every other voice guy. I like hearing WJFK 1067 ITS THE RON AND FEZ SHOW every time i tune in.

There was a thing on DCRTV about it earlier in the week; the new guy calls himself "Zeus" and does this for stations all over the country, including "Zoltar's" show Saturday nights on WHFS.

I hate it, because he sounds like everything else out there; Dude Walker's voice just sounds right for this kind of station.

I really hate it, though, that they are mixing the two together, like that have all day! Christ! Just make the switch and be done with it. We don't need any transition period to get use to it.

(I wonder if they'll get rid of the Dude Walker voice on the website!)

I remember the Walker promos only popping up, what 2 years ago? Before that it was a standard "radio voice" announcer. Walker always sounded too monster truck rally-ish for me.

Dude Walker only does the bumpers for Don and Mike. The "deep-voiced guy" currently being used (and being phased out) is from the Midwest somewhere. Don brought him in when he was the PD.

Thanks...I thought that was the case, but wasn't sure.

The worst moment yesterday was going into Ron and Fez; they ran a bumper using both voices, followed by Cameron giving the AOL for Broadband promotion...too many voices! It was beginning to sounds as cluttered as Don's cavalcade he runs during White Zombie at the top of their show.
