View Full Version : Jim Breuer Shows His Eddie Trunk Pride On ROAST

Tonight's Roast of Denis Leary is on Comedy Central in about 50 minutes. It should be pretty good considering how much they've hyped it. Big names are gonna be there, including LOTS of regulars from O&A (Collin Quinn, Mario Cantone, Jim Breuer, Patrice O'neil, +). And any show that makes fun of Michael J. Fox to his face has got to be entertaining.
Anyhow, during one of the commercials for it, they show Jim Breuer doing his thing on stage and he's wearing an Eddie Trunk Rocks shirt! Pretty awesome of him to do that. I've heard him on Eddie's show before, so I guess they're pretty good friends. It's funny that Trunk's show is only heard in 2 markets, but he's gonna get some fake publicity tonight on a nationwide show. Repuzent, Jim!

i can't wait for this to start. the promos have been really funny. the Michael J Fox jokes are the best. i'm just really drunk and hope i can stay awake. tomorrow is my first day back to work after a 2 week vacation...really depressing.. so i've done a ton of drinking. good luck to me.

thought it would be really good but so far it's been a bit repetetive with the jokes about his career... it was a nice 'break' when Gina Gershon performed the song and dance...

most of it hasn't been a real roast of Dennis. the others on the show have been made fun of more.

Fluff, when I said he was only on in 2 markets, I meant his LIVE Friday Night show. All those shows you listed, except for NYC and Minneapolis, are tape-delayed shows. Technically you can say his show is international, seeing as how you can hear it on KNAC, but I only meant Friday Night Rocks specifically.
As far as the Roast, I thought it was alright, but it couldda been a lot better. Collin was funny, Mario was funny, Conan, Christopher Walken, and John Stewart had good taped bits. (Walken is the scariest looking man EVER.) I also thought it was entertaining how many times Mario Cantone was ridiculed for being gay.

Thats what I figured but I had to do it. Too wide open. Plus, I am a bit pissy. Wonder how Eddie's trip to Sturgis was this week?

I loved hearing him on Ron and Fez...I wish he was down here in DC.
As for the Roast, Christopher Walken gets scarier looking each time I see him. It was a pretty good show though, Collin Quinn is great.

i lost interest after the first hour. Did Breuer show up and did Dennis sing the "ahole" song?

If this is the best these comedic minds could come up with, it's time to retire roasts. It was slow, 95% unfunny and most of the comedians didn't even bother to learn their material, they read it off notes.
