Pink Floyd
"Don't cut your losses too soon 'cause you'll only be cutting your throat."
Dream Theater
"So you think you can tell heaven from hell, blue skies from pain; can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail; a smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?"
Pink Floyd

Is this gonna be another one of those "a million posts but nobody read any of them except their own" threads?
It's like those people who don't listen and only are thinking about what they'll say next. Like me.

You can get just so much
From a good thing
You can linger too long
In your dreams
Say goodbye to the
Oldies but goodies
Cause the good ole days weren't
Always good

Jesus Harold... so that's where Orbital got that sample. And I've even used that "it's better to regret something you HAVE done, than to regret something you haven't done" line as a signature quote in some places over the years. And I thought I knew my music trivia...

Wait a minute, are you telling me that Orbital (a group I also like) uses that in a sample??? What track/cd??? I like everything I've heard from them but I've NEVER heard that. Jesus Hairy Christmas!!!
That voice is the great Gibby Haynes of the Surfers. He is my all time favorite crooner.

It's from Orbital's first US release circa 1992, which was untitled, but I've always called it the "Yellow Album" (Brits refer to it as the "Green Album" because that was the color of the disc over there). The track, #8, is titled "Satan," appropriately enough, and does not appear on the UK versions of the disc. The sample opens the song.
The entire album is fucking great, and if you don't have it and you like Orbital, you need it. It is a very close second in my opinion to their second release, the "Brown Album." As I sit here and listen to it again for the first time in a while, maybe it's not even second... If you can't find it, let me know and I'll hook you up.

all of the lyrics from H2O's 5 year plan, espically:
My friends look out for me like family;
My mom`s been struggeling since I was three...
Here I sit, alone and in despair;
The world outside is cold, alone and unfair;
No motivation, no college degree; (except now i have the degree)
Day to day survival starting to worry me...
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds - Bob Marley
I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow
And that it motivates you to make a better tomorrow
This place is cruel no where could be much colder
If we don't change the world will soon be over
Living just enough, stop giving just enough for the city - Stevie Wonder

All The Girls In The World Beware!!!
I got tarter on my teeth, but I don't care.
I got dark brown stains, in my underwear.

Ahhhh... Wish You Were Here...
Has anyone really examined this album and the artwork?
There was a theory way back that the Universe was made up of four Elements:
Fire
Air
Earth
Water
Now, take a look at the four photographs on the album [not sure what the CD has, as there are several different CD versions of this release.
