whats up with the numbers?

Hey guys,

I have what will sound like a stupid question to most of you. I have been listening to ron and fez for months now and i can't figure out what numbers people say when they call up. Some callers will holler things like "76874" and then ron and fez will play the "huuha" voice. What do those numbers stand for?

The numbers don't mean anything. Just call up and if the numbers you yell out match the numbers they have on their list they'll give you a "huuha" to let you know that you've just won a prize. It's the Ron and Fez "Pick a number" game from 1 to 10,000. But it's a secret, so don't tell anyone what you know. If you win, I get 10% of what you get.

First of all, welcome to the board. It's not really talked about so you'll need to listen to the show a little longer to figure it out. I'm not saying that to be condescending or anything, but there's a secret to it all and we just can't explain the meaning behind the numbers.

Those numbers are from union workers. After Sept 11th ground zero workers would call the show and tell what union they were in and soon enough the hooah followed these callers.

to the best of my understanding this is what happens. you pay the boys $100 and they assign you a number. at the begginning of the show they will announce a few numbers, and if it's yours, you call in and they give you a hoo-hah. Then they take your call off the air so you can claim your prize.

Well the thing is that the workers would call at times they maybe should have been doing other things so on air they would just say the number and if someone tried to find out what the number meant, R&F would just say its a secret. I'm sure if you worked in an office you wouldnt announce the place you worked on air, if someone else was listening youd get in trouble.
