These were actually words that they've been dumped out of in the last few weeks (or edited) - all said by Ron. "Shit" was the latest - this morning during the 11am show.

As Steels said..."Opie and Anthony" are other ones - for some reason they are the only show on WJFK that can't mention them by name. I'm pretty sure Eddie Trunk's name was said last week on the air.

Speakinig of the 11am show, they are actually making an on-air push to get the full 11-3 time slot, even asking someone tonight which version of the show (morning or night) they like best - when the guy said morning, they agreed. They have threatened to stay on if O'Reilly had a substitute do his show again.

Once they get decent evening ratings, then look for O'Reilly to be yanked.

WJFK has very strict rules on what they can say. With all of the crap they give Howard, Don & Mike, O & A (when they were here), and Ron and Fez. They are very quick to hit the dump button. I think the FCC monitors these shows very tightly. I have heard tits on a ton of shows including Family Fued. They even posted it on the big board.

There may actually be more pressure on WJFK since they can be heard in the same city as the FCC. I know the local people have dumped out of content that made it by Stern's strict monitors in NYC.

Yesterday a listener on Elliot in the Morning (one of the worst morning shows ever) said "shit," which didn't get dumped out, or even mentioned. He's on a Clear Channel station (DC 101). It's happened before, I know, with them - they just aren't watched or reported as much at 106.7.

I am very happy that foul language is prohibited and does not clutter the radio airwaves. It is a very bad habit, and to encourage our young people to use such language would be a disruptive thing. It is good that the public can listen to enjoyable radio shows without having dirty words being part of the experience.
