are u fucking kidding me? freddy and jason have had the 2 most consistant franchises in movie history. everymovie except new nightmare had tits and gore. what else do u look for in these movies? inventive kills like seeing the spear work its way through kevin bacons throat, or when freddy used the kids veins like string for puppets. and friday 13th 1,2,3 are the best succesion of sequels ever. jason popping out of the water at the end of the first one, to him worshipping his mother's severed head in the second one, to jasons mother popping out of the water at the end of the third. its a classic trilogy.

yea phix, cause it was consistantly the same movie in a different place. there was another huge franchise, called rocky. you gonna tell me any of them after 2 changed anything but the opponent. the only different one was 5 and that one was the worst. i say stick to 2, maybe 3 movies if your lucky in a franchise. though lethal weapon 4 was pretty good and funny, it couldnt hold a candle to the prior 2 which werent close to 1. im not sure how many hellraisers, but i only remember 2 and they both were good.

According to an Article in Entertainment weekly, The person who owns the rights to the Halloween franchise has contacted New Line about getting Michael Myers involved in the mix.

what do u expect to see when you go to see these movies? all i expect is to see stupid teenagers die,a nd to see some nice perky breasts. that is all. im not looking to be scared, cause its hard to be scared when your rooting for the bad guy. im not looking for earth shattering storylines, just something the above mentioned tits and gore. i want to see freddy kill someone then have a cheesy yet funny line afterward. i want jason to keep going and going like the energizer bunny. that is all. and every movie in each franchise (save nightmare 2) have delivered a somewhat coherent story. they have never killed mickey and bring him back.

Freddy needs Jason's help to inflict fear on his town. From that fear people think it is freddy. He gets stronger teh more people fear him. However, Freddy gets pissed because Jason keeps killing all of his victims. Than they have an all out war.

And the sad thing is, it would fit in perfectly within the storyline. How so? If you watch Friday the 13th IX (Jason Goes to Hell), you'll see that when the heroes go into Jason's old house, the Necronomicon Exmortus is lying there on a table.

i thought the movie was good. you could tell they waited a while before just putting it out because the story line (for a horror movie) does make sense.

It does take a little long to get started after the good recap / opening at the beginning..but the battle scenes are interesting.

New Line actually purchased the rights of Friday the 13th in mind to make a freddy vs jason movie. They had produced "Jason goes to Hell" and Jason X" in the interium while the others were produced by Paramount.

Overall for a horror movie i thought it was good....for a movie it was ok.

I liked the movie...pretty much what I expected (having been to all but one of the Friday the 13th's opening weekend)...they took the best of both series and smashed them together nicely...the first scene being a skinny dip scene was a riot...the final battle cracked me up/the filmmakers attempting irony...Robert England is the best...Jason can never, ever die/"Jason X" is set so far into the future that it's simply a sneak peak at what he's going to be doing.

The one thing I didn't like was how quickly everyone of the humans (the fodder) figured out what was going on. In the span of less than a minute, a bunch of stupid teenagers put it all together. It was funny, and I laughed, but I was also smirked and did a verbal, "Oh, come on now."

The only one of the other slashers that would work in this series would be Michael Myers; Ash and Pinhead's film series are too far removed from the realm of the slasher of screaming teenagers - and without MM and his William Shatner white-face mask, there would have been no Friday the 13th, and Wes Craven would never have been able to get the funding for "Nightmare."

when one is decapitated and the other is functioning, u have a winner. they just left it open for sequels. and by the way everything it was everything i wanted. i just wished it was a little longer though, seeing those 2 go at it some more wouldve been nice.

Great flick! I think Freddy won the dream round. (I liked the Jason Pinball) And Jason won the reality round. Freddy opening his eyes just proved he was still alive but he definitely got his ass kicked. We can go to the cards and use the point system, and I think Freddy's jab scored him alot of points while Jason's haymakers kept missing.









Anyone else wonder what Jason's deformed decaying penis looks like?
