I gotta agree here, the comedians they would have on were funny like Jim Breuer, Tracy Morgan, etc, etc. but they didnt care about the fans on the show, and a guy who says trip in a puddle of AIDS is not funny, Jim Norton and O&A were extremely overrated.

Ron and Fez are better then O&A could hope to be
and R&F imo run 2nd behind the sports junkies

Howards show blows now, it has not been funny since Billy West left 6 or 7 years ago.

And if you do not find O and A funny, you got a problem, that show rocked.

Stern Blows, bottom line.

Stop comparing them to RnF also, they did a different show. Just because someone likes OnA it doesnt mean they cant like RnF. The 2 actually go hand in hand. What do you plan on acomplishing by say Ron is faster then Op?

I thought O&A were funny. I especially loved Anthony's impression of the Greasman "Oh, I'm fired? Waddle-Daddle!" and Ozzy "blah blah blah, Helicopter, blah blah blah blah..."

But I didn't like how they used Ron and Fez's show like an extention of their show like when they said Stalker patty couldn't be on their show anymore, or R&F either.

That's another show, even if your buds with them, you don't book that show...

What the hell, it was all probably fake anyway, even them getting "fired"

Some don't like O&A and like R&F.

I thought O&A were hysterical myself and they are the reason I started to listen to R&F.

I am from NY, and I have heard the Junks on a number of occasions, even went to one of their live appearances at Dave and Busters's.

I like their show; they're very funny. They are not, however, better than Ron & Fez or O&A.

Lets face it, O and A were a great show. I say 'good' because I do agree that they were great, but did slip their near the end. But they were never given the chance to get back to that great status again. They were removed because of a hypocritical organization that protects pedos...but that is a whole nother subject. With all the comedy gold that is slipping by their fingers (Buddy Epsen dying, Gary Coleman running for gov, etc...), and the drabness of NY radio I realize just how good O and A were. The other stations really have no incentive to compete anymore to beat O and A in ratings. So now, the radio sucks, just proving just how damn good they were. And I do agree that Anthony was one of the more talented guys in radio (who is not on the radio). But remember,O and A ALWAYS win in the end...

O and A are funny and thats it. I'm a huge radio fan and O&A were great. They are just a couple of regular guys who got lucky and know they we're and still are lucky. Norton is funny and if you can't handle his jokes start listening to Don and Mike. Or Bob and Tom. O and A will be back next year and if you don't like them just stop listening. Tinkle Tinkle.

Christ...I'm with DMM on this one; another DC vs. NY thread is not what I need.

I will resist the urge to say that the reasons one city doesn't like one show is pretty much the exact reasons another city didn't like another show - both shows (and ya know who i is talken about, and neither show is Ron and Fez or Stern) pretended to be the anti-zoo, but when put back to back, they "exposed" the other show, to whoever was the biased city, for being what "their" show talked about. That, and the fact that all of the hosts on the two shows were/are overpaid loudmouths jealous and suspicious of each other, and poisoned various waters.

No, I won't mention any of that.

Besides, personally, if I were to say O&A were as funny as a heart attack then this mighty thread might get locked, and I don't think I need another locked thread on my conscience.

I don't get why people "bash" O&A for surrounding themselves with great guests and comedians. I think Anthony is one of the funniest guys on radio and Opie was a great "straight man", but I LOVED how they got along so great with comedians, often because of the comic genius that is Norton. I'm listening to a clip from last year where Vos and Norton are talking about all the girls they "shared" in the past and it's absolutely DEVASTATING. Totally killing...and O&A really have nothing to do with it. So? Why is that a bad thing? They provided the outlet for these guys to get me laughing my balls off...that's just as good.

o&a have an army, d&m have a bowling team. the boys had some classic bits and i honestly gave d&m a try before they left nyc, but they just weren't my brand of humor. and o&a had a sense of up and coming comedy; look at all the comedians getting time on tv these days who you hadn't really hear of prior to appearing on the boy's show.

and lastly, there were afro shows, not drfm shows.
