Tanookie Suit Mario. What?!

Dude, I was just playing Super Mario Brothers 3, and I got the Tanookie Suit on Mario.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THING?!?!? It looks like a racoon, but then you can turn into a statue of some bald guy for a few seconds.

So what is up with this thing? Anyone know what a tanookie is? Why would you turn into a statue? Is crack that inexpensive in Japan?

Easy, Death Metal Mario. Super Mario 3 is an all-time great game, and Shigeru Miyamoto is a game developing genius. If it takes a few recreational chemicals to make such a great game, I say you roll with it.

Anyway, the tanookie suit is amazing. What other power up lets you jump and flop your tail in the air?

I do like the Cape Mario in SMW more. That's the ultimate form.

If you put it on, you could get through one board without playing it. But if you got beat in that next board, it would send you back to the last board you beat beyond the board you just skipped.

So I never used them. They're gay.

<p>The answer to the initial question is easy.</p><p>Tanooki is a racoon like dog that lives in areas of Japan, and are often fetished as statues around restraunt. An interesting side note is that Tanooki are generaly shown with enourmous Testicals.</p><p>For the the second part of the question, I personally beilive the japanese have come up with a drug that has made crack obsolete, I mean really mere crack cocaine can't create the madness and insanity that the japanese come out with.</p>
