what are or were some of your favorite gameshows?

my favorite gameshows would have to be family feud and the price is right.

plinko was probably my favorite game on the price is right. and the showcase showdowns were always exciting.

i also like the german version of jeopardy. and "hopp oder top" which is a german quiz show. it translates to "sale of the century." when i watched the show they gave out some really shitty prices, though.

south american gameshows are probably the most boring.

gameshows from spain and russia seem to be the most sexual and japanese or korean gameshows are probably the most exciting and risky.

all recent american gameshows suck.

I loved The Gong Show (Gene, Gene, the Dancin' Machine!)and also liked Match Game, Truth or Consequences and the Pyramid shows ($64K and the $100K ones). Hey, I know it's lame, but there wasn't any cable back then.

Anyone remember the Hilarious House of Frankestein?

Now that I have Direct TV, I check out the Game Show Network every once in a while and watch all the old games shows-- ROCK!

A whole bunch of bunchies!

Concentration, Jackpot, Make Me Laugh (when Bobby Van hosted it) any show that has Charles Nelson Riely on it, P.D.Q. (that's going back a long way), Can You Top This?, and Supermarket Sweep.

Beer Bishop I f'n love you!

And germs, you have some rockin taste girlie! Plinko is definiltey the best! They like play it once every 2 yrs though...whats up with that??

I also used to love the 25000 dollar pyramid and tic tac dough. Those were fun games to try and play along with.

How could they even try to turn scrabble into a game show? Chuck Woolery is the worst host ever.

I love the game show network. Its logged in my favorite channels button. THe only time I dont like it is when they have "Sunday Night Black & White" those shows SUCK!

Supermarket Sweep rocked the motherfucking hiz-ouse. Any show that tests your knowledge of the cost of frozen peas, then makes you load 38 frozen turkeys into a shopping cart and try your fastest to grind coffee beans to get a bonus ROCKS in my book.

The mall one was great too, 'cept there were only like six stores in the mall. And they always went to the fucking Camera Store. THERE'S NOTHING AT THE CAMERA STORE! LEAVE IT BE! TRAVEL AGENCY! TRAVEL AGENCY!

As for Price is Right, Plinko ALWAYS rocks. My problem with the showcase showdown: They put all the thought into a nicely themed presentation for one, and then the other guy just gets like a dining room set and some jewelery. Nothing snazzy, nothing planned. Just like...a boat. The other guy got Diane dressed up as a little dutch girl to tell him he's going to Holland! You get a boat, and you'll like it!

I'm surprised no one said Double Dare. Or Family Double Dare, even. Greatest gameshow ever. Who needs challenging questions when someone could be picking a giant nose full of boogers to find a key?

I LOVED FAMILY DOUBLE DARE!!! the most time i spent watching tv was when i lived in florida, and at the time i lived there those nickelodeon shows were really popular. double dare was definitely one of my favorites. i always got excited during the last obstacle, when the whole family had to go through 7 or 8 different challenges and they had to get all those different flags to win certain prizes. the giant nose obstacle was called "pick it"! but i think that was on double dare and not family double dare. my favorite obstacles were "in one ear", "garbage truck", and the "human hamster wheel". this is bringing back so many awesome memories.

does anybody remember "what would you do"? it was shown on nick as well and it was probably one of my favorite shows on that network. that was the greatest use of pie ever!! i remember going to universal studios with my family and wanting to go to a taping of that show, but the lines were endless. the pie slide is probably one of the greatest inventions ever, seriously!!!

i always wanted to be a contestant on "guts", another nick show. the slam dunk thing seemed extremely fun! and i used to be in love with moira quirk, who was the referee. she had the sexiest accent.

another nick show i really liked was "legends of the hidden temple". that show rocked! but it wasn't as exciting as all the other shows on nick. the worst game show on nick was probably "wild and crazy kids". i really hated that show.

this just popped into my head:

she sneaks around the world from kiev to carolina
she's a sticky fingered filcher from berlin down to belize
she will take you for a ride on a slow boat to china
tell me, WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO???

CARMEN SANDIEGO WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!

whenever i watched carmen sandiego i would sing along to the theme song. the rockapellas kicked so much fuckin ass!!! that show was so much fun!!! i used to be jealous of all the kids who got to be on that show and i would get frustrated whenever a contestant didn't win the final round...i mean, come on!!! that was so easy!!!

Girl Germs, Carmen San Diego was great! I remember that the first time I actually saw it was when one of my middle school teachers brought in tapes of it to watch in social studies! I still remember the losers always getting electronic dictionaries and stuff like that! I loved all the different villains too, and how they would steal buildings and huge things too! hah!
