I know it's very hard to and it will probably not be out completely, but I'm trying to get some ideas of how other people cover up/get rid of smoke odor.
I finally quit cigarettes but my house still smells. I use Glade candles, incense and air out the house occasionally but that's about it.
I'm about to purchase an Ionic Breeze from Sharper Image, but before I spend $350 I just wanted to know if you guys have any secrets.

I smoke in my attic to keep it away from my kid. The doorway leading up there reeks! Anyway, I've been trying to quit recently, and I've removed all the curtains & shades for a washing and washed down the walls & woodwork with Murphy's Oil Soap...really seemed to help.

Buy arm and hammer carpet fresh cleaner.
Its a power that you sprinkle on the carpet. Pour that shit till your carpet it white, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then vaccuum.
Makes your house smell springy fresh....or whatever odor you decide to buy.

Febreeze and that Arm and Hammer carpet cleaner are both excellent ideas, those would be my first two options. But that shit from the Shaper Image also works. Whenever we used to smoke in the dorms at school my buddy had one of those air purifier's and after we "burned one down" you couldn't even tell there was a hint of smoke in the room. You have a lot of options, but try the febreeze and carpet cleaner first before spending all that loot.

This brand.
Serioulsy. Let's cut the shit. This stuff cuts pot smoke up. Then, use the Fabreeze inbetween washings of your drapes and whatnot. I like Deep Clean. Actually, I like to just spray the stuff on my clothes and in my car for no real reason other than to smell nice. The stuff is great.

If you're anything like me and 99% of other smokers you'll be smoking again soon. So, don't bother trying to get rid of the smell, it'll be back in a week or two.

febreze is the answer. ive made my house reek of sticky icky many times and febreze and 15 minutes have taken care of that each time.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I'll get that smell out now. I just need to do some MAJOR washing and such but I'm gonna get the air thing anyway just to keep the fresh smell. It's good for allergies too.

Yankee Candles are my personal favorite.
I had a past thread on them but I can't find the damn thing.

also avoid holding those cigatettes with your knees.
Yankee candle now makes fabric spray like febreeze and they come in many of the bitchin' yankee candle scents. My two faves are clean cotton and macintosh apple. Both kill anysmell and while they're drying they smell WAY better than that icky febreeze.
