I always thought that this was a really good hard rock/metal magazine. It was always so damn hard to find being that it's an English mag. I would always pick up an issue whenever I was at Tower records, Virgin Megastore, or Hudson News. I just picked up the new "Legends" issue on Metallica. It's got some really awesome old pics and articles.

It's always fun until someone gets hurt.....and then it's just hilarious.

I try to not spend too much on magazines. I don't think they are worth it.
Just my 2 cents.

I am, and always will be,in a state of sulky dissatisfaction.

Hard to find? I've pretty much seen it any bookstore or music store that sells more than 20 music magazines.

It's good for what it is, though it really hasn't been a "metal" magazine for years now. Like the NME, once Melody Maker collapsed, the other British music magazines all began scrambling to cover EVERYTHING as opposed to just specific genres. And something just never feels right with their rating system..."K's" instead of stars? Why do SO many albums get a "KKK"?

It's all been down hill since Lester Bangs died.

Get the new Bangs book?

Not as good as the original anthology, but still essential reading. Just came out a week or two ago.
