On Call

My job requires me to be on call 24 hour hours a day. Now the way we've worked it out is to break up the calls into two week intervals. But if they Ops center can't get a hold of the duty agent, they go down the list till someone answers. Aparently I'm the only one who ever answers his cell phone!

I hate it. I can never truly rest because I never know when an emergency might arise and I'll have to Dr0p my plans an head in.

I know how you feel, Furie!! When I worked for the city, I was on a detail that would call me at all hours of the night- especially on those rare nights when my wife was "in the mood"-damn them all to hell, I say!!!!!!!
