Chad Pennington was just sacked and looks to have broken his wrist on his throwing arm. They are currently X-raying the injury. The future of the season shall lay in the results we should here within the next 30 minutes. Good luck and let's hope for the best.

Have a little faith in Vinnie. He can hold the fort down for a few games. It's not the throwing hand so don't worry.

I am very sorry to report that Chad Pennington's (throwing arm) wrist has been badly broken. He is currently en route to Saint Mary's Hospital for immediate surgery. Although I am a lifelong Giant fan I feel terribly for Jets fans, this is just awful.

I've been a Jets fans since Joe Wille, this is the worst thing that could have happened. I just hope Chad's not out for long. As a Jet fan you almost expect it. It really , really SUCKS!

Upd@te:

The original reports I had received from UPN's (Chanel 9) broadcast of the game and more speciafically "Sam Rosen" were not entirely true. Chad Pennington broke his NON-THROWING wrist. I apologize for this negligence and I am very disappointed in UPN's poor information regarding this injury. I was reporting what was broadcasted.

Will he still get paid this season for staying home? If so what a lucky bastard!

Speculations as of right now is he'll be out a minimum of two months, I'm just relieved it turned out NOT to be his throwing wrist.

No one really knows how long he'll be out yet. We can all hope for the best.

The game just ended and all we know is that he has a broken wrist. Stay tuned....

This is a little embarrassing but.....a fractured wrist is a broken wrist.

I'm a Giant fan so this doesn't have much effect on me but I do feel sorry for Jet fans I mean every time that you guys think you're having a good year someone gets hurt..when I saw that it reminded me of when Vinny got hurt in 99

They ought to replace this "Chad Pennington" guy with that hot new rookie Ron Bennington.

This just in from the Jets camp. Chad Pennington's fractured wrist included ligament damage along with four broken bones, surgery was successful. Pennington will be out for 12 weeks.

Hair Line fracture is a small break in the bone
A fracture is a break but it hasnt come apart completely
Broken means it has sucessfully parted the bone.

At least thats the way i learned it.

I'd love to hear your definition of a compound fracture.
