I have recently took the time to put together a classic arcade game package for the emulator MAME. I have similar packages for the Nintendo and Super Nintendo emulators. Here's the VERY strange problem. A couple of weeks back my controller would periodically lock up into a single direction, stop working all together or just simply go haywire. I tested this out on the keyboard with the same results. I did the following to try and help the situation to no avail:

1.) Restart the computer
2.) Reconfigure the controllers
3.) Reinstall the controller drivers
4.) Shut down all other programs while using the emulators.

& out of desperation.....

5.) I reformatted my hard drive and started from scratch.

Unfortunately, I STILL have the same odd, crippling problem. There is no way to gauge when, how or why the problem comes about. Sometimes everything is fine 5 minutes later, other times 5 HOURS later. I am not doing ANYTHING to cause this and I'm at my wits end. Does anyone have a clue as to what this might be? Is there a person out there that may be able to help? If so I would be very grateful, please contact me.

By the way, this happened a day after I completed a classic arcade package that took me MONTHS to complete. Coincidence, I think not....this shit belongs right there with the rest of Magnolia's opening stories!

Anybody.....PLEASE, I'm DESPERATE! This is the kind of irony that drives a man INSANE! I finally complete a fantasy arcade alongside the exact time a phantom computer problem reeks havoc on my controller leaving me unable to play ANYTHING. This is alarmingly similar to the "Twilight Zone" episode titled "The Obsolete Man" and I just stepped on my game pad.
