What is your opinion on Affirmitive Action..
Wouldnt AA give an underpriviledged minority a shot at competing in a racist society? Wouldnt his/her insertion into mainsteam workforce help pave way for non-AA to get inroads into workforce?
thanks

Afirmative action is a sham.
Its a quota system and completely anti-American.
It rules out hard work and institutes socialism instead.
Its anti-Capitalism and provides for under-qualified people to get jobs that could be filled by more qualified whitey.
I do have balls !!!

MORTICIAN - I feel that positions should be filled by the best qualified without regard to race, sex or creed.
Affirmative action ultimately hurts those it purports to help by establishing a belief system where people are taught that we have to lower standards for blacks to succeed. This is a very negative image to convey and furthers the divisions within society.
Merit is the best criteria and certainly the fairest.

You know there was a time in America where unionizing was considered socialist and anti-american and was considered wrong.
AA may sometimes put the underqualified person in but it is indisputable that there are racist employers and AA gives minorties a better chance. Hopefully there will be a point where we can phase it out but America hasn't progressed far enough to do that.
I will get a sig pic...eventually

ADOLESCENTMASTURBATOR - Affirmative action is a complex issue as I'm sure you are well aware. Like most things in life there are no blacks or whites, but rather different shades of gray.
The best way to ensure equality is to enforce a system based entirely on merit. That eliminates the rascist employer issue. It also does away with the revrese discrimination proponents of affirmative action advocate.

Don't worry about Affirmative Action, it's not like black people actually want to work.
Ring the bell.
