Jesus. Sorry I don't have a link, but I just heard this on the TV. It said France still has 400 or so bodies that have been unclaimed by anyone. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT?!?!

I'm sorry, are there that many people with absolutly no family or friends looking for them? No one ever talks to them at a local store? No one checks up on them from time to time?

I'm guessing a larger majority of the dead are elderly. No one checks on them?

This just seems messed up. If someone could think up some reasons how so many bodies could sit unclaimed please let me know. Very sad.

I heard on Fox News that the bodies are unclaimed because people do not want to return from their vacations to bury the dead. So, they ask that the bodies be put on ice.

The same thing happens all the time in Germany, but to an absurd degree. Germany has a super efficent banking system that takes care of off your bills (kind of like a bill/pay service) from your bank, and of your a retiree, your pension checks go right into the bank and it keeps paying your electric and rent and all that. So, the keep finding people who had died many years ago in their apartments! Recently it was this old guy who died about 8 years ago and the neighbors are the ones who complained about a strange smell. But 8 years??? Id have imagied that there was a big pile of mail in the guys mailbox, wouldnt that'd been a tip off to the super?

well i heard that they actually stock all the bodies in warehouses, and i guess they are already tagged with their names on them, so they are probably gonna keep them in freezers. i wonder if they have enough freezers though. Four hundred bodies i a looooootta people to store.
