I have been in WA now for a week and still cannot sleep at night or sleep very well, when I do it's usually for an hours time at the most n then wake up, stay awake for a few n then drift off to sleep. This process continues throughout the night and its gettin old. Please help.

That was happening to me too, and I went to a doctor and he gave me something called Ambien that knocked me out for the night. He also gave me a prescription for an anxiety medication, which seems to help. If it is anxiety on your part, it might have to do with being so far from home, the fear of the flight, isolation, or whatever your there for. Try and rationalise that it is something that you are anxious over, and the anxiety will go away because once you realise what it is, it isnt so scarey and youll start to relax.

I'm guessing you didn't re-adjust your body clock when you went out there.
As I travel to europe at least once a year, this is something that holds my interest.
I suggest you just go ahead and stay up all night and struggle through the next day, sucking down Mountain Dews, and don't crash till whatever time you really want to. no naps or anything.
And while you're at it, take some long walks in the sun. Somehow sunlight helps the body to re-adjust.
(edit)Oh yeah, drink lots and lots of water, it seems to help also.
Booze seems to help, but it won't, really, as it'll give you a restless sleep and not a good deep one.
