I just recently arrived back in Penna from a lovely few days in Ocean City, NJ... Every night was soooo beautiful- NO HUMIDITY! Nice warm breezes filled the day with a hot sun.... I cannot think of another PERFECT time I have ever had down the shore before...

OH! I BEAT MY BF IN SKEE-BALL!! GIRLZ (yes with a Z) RULE!

What is your shore point of choice?

I'M RICH BIA-OTCH!

Ocean City is nice, but it's a dry town.

Sea Isle City and Avalon are the best places to go.

We stayed at a nice Bed&Breakfast in Ocean City one year, the town was very nice. Stayed in Cape May and Wildwood Crest and they were nice too.

the kids like the arcades in Point Pleasant and sometimes we go to Columns in Avon, it's a danceclub/restaurant. Growing up i mostly went to Belmar.

Spring Lake has a nice quiet beach too.

Usually go to Barnegat for crabbing...

Rockaway Beach

Chewing out a rhythm on my bubble gum
The sun is out and I want some
It's not hard not far to reach
We can hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach

Up on the rooftop, out on the street
Down in the playground, the hot concrete
Bus ride is too slow
They blast out the disco on the radio

Rock Rock Rockaway Beach
Rock Rock Rockaway Beach
Rock Rock Rockaway Beach
We can hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach

I have a house in Point Lookout NY. Its like 5 steps to the beach. PL's a pretty small town not many people have herd of it. Its As far east from Long beach as you can go, right next to the Jones Inlet.
Just want to also mention the fact that my familly is NOT Rich. This house was home to my Stepmothers parents who are now passed on. Id go futher into details but you'd get bored and fall asleep reading this

Island Beach State Park has the best beaches, but for total atmosphere, nothing tops Seaside Heights. Great rides, great arcades, great food. Right now, I am starving for a Kohr's chocolate and vanilla ice cream cone.

Kohr's!!! Hot damn that stuff is good.

My brother worked at one of the Seaside Kohr's Custard stands. We're talking sge 22,23 here. Summer job. One of the 'perks' for working for Mr. Kohr's was the opportunity to live in rooms directly above the stand. I even worked there for a bit. There was a room with bunk beds, there, Right On The friggin' Boardwalk.

I can't even imagine the Debauchery that wen't on in those rooms.

PL's a pretty small town not many people have herd of it.

Point Lookout is the beach that I went to all the time when I was growing up.

A few fun facts about Point Lookout...

1. Many New York Jets have homes there during the season because it is easy to get to practice at Hofstra due to the proximity of the Meadowbrook Parkway.

2. I have danced drunk and naked inside the Point Lookout Post Office.

3. The best pizza is at Alfredo's.

4. Corky from "Life Goes On" (aka the retarded kid) used to live there.

I usually go to Wildwood every year for the past 17 years. I like the boardwalk there and the atmosphere. Plus I know every nook and cranny, going there as much as I have, it's comfortable.

However I got to work in Rockaway last summer and those beaches are pretty nice. Nice clean sand, good waves, not really crowded.

LBI is nice too, if you are over 21.

Im on Long Island, but I prefer the North Shore to the South, only because its closer and less problematic getting TO it. There are many "hidden" beaches on the North shore. The sands better on the South though, obviously.

I've been to Northern Long Island beaches like Sand's Point and Garve's point (rode my bike to both from southern long island), but that's only the long island sound, and you cant enjoy a "nice day in the water" because there is really no waves. SO the south is really the place to be.
