No particular order...

* Stop Making Sense
* Urgh! A Music War (damn! someone beat me to it!)
* The Last Waltz
* Rolling Stones At The Max (only in Imax format)
* Madonna Truth Or Dare
* The Clash: Westway To The World
* Wattstax
* Sex Pistols: Great Rock N Roll Swindle
* Monterrey Pop
* This Is Spinal Tap

Wait? Did I say "Truth Or Dare?" WTF?

The most disappointing...

* Instrument - Ten Years with the Band Fugazi

I love Ian and the boys, but this was simply long and dull.

Man, so many great titles here, so I won't repeat the ones I have...

As for what I wish to add, I submit these...

Radiohead's "Meeting People Is Easy".

http://www.artistdirect.com/Images/Sources/AMGCOVERS/music/cover200/dre400/e464/e46481skcqf.jpg

And my favorite of all time, Fugazi's "Instrument".

<img src="http://www.border.se/dis80dvd.jpg"width=450>

Can Portishead's "PNYC" count? Because it's spectacular and it should if "The Last Waltz" does.

Im a huge Radiohead fan and this fucking sucked total disapointment. Im so sick of people automatically labeling something the band does brilliant just cause it is radiohead. They are a great band but they have done some shite stuff as well and this movie falls undewr the SHITE category!

I'm-a chortling over getting in "Urgh- A Music War" in first; plus I'm feeling snobbier by the minute that no one seems to be aware of the T.A.M.I. Show.

And if we're throwing in concert films, I'd include

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones

The Cincinatti Pop Festival from about '70. It's the one where Iggy famously was in the crowd, standing atop shoulders of the fans, slinging gobs of peanut butter all over the place.

Actually, I don't love this film because I'm a Radiohead film, as that I think it presents Radiohead in a very skewed light, and is probably the biggest pusher of the "Radiohead are miserable bastards" idea. I like it because it's a very skillfully crafted and edited documentary (The director used the footage to push that image of the band even though he had just as much "happy" footage) with brilliant live footage, tons of B-sides and remixes, and the best chance I'll have to ever owning "Big Boots" as a recorded song. As a filmmaker myself, it perfectly demonstrates how much power a documentary can have through just the right editing alone, and how subjective the whole process is. This film is "brilliant" because of the filmmaker, not the band.

And learn to quote to a post, you fucking mong.

Robin Hitchcock - "Storefront Hitchcock"

Jonathan Demme directed Hitchcock preforming in a storefront on 14th Street in NYC. Passerbys stop and look in on the window as the preformance goes on for 77 minutes. Pretty cool.

Demme is the best - I'm a huge, huge fan of his work as a director, if not of all of this films (if that even makes sense), and he's one of the few people working in Hollywood that people don't talk shit about - maybe because he doesn't live in Hollywood.

Would like to see him rebound; BELOVED was a horrible choice, but he was so stung from the criticism he got over PHILADELPHIA, and overwhelmed by the success of SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. He's done other smaller projects; the documentary on his cousin the priest living and working in Harlem, COUSIN BOBBY, was very good.
