I was wandering around the Village aimlessly this afternoon when this pack of skateboarder kids comes along. They were with some girls who stopped for ice cream, and this boy says, "where are you sluts going?!" The girls weren't offended at all. Although they were obviously friends, I think that shit is way out of line.

These boys were acting kind of wild ; they started to bother some guy on the street. I swear to God, I was actually hoping that they would fuck with me.

If I ever got into a situation like that, I wouldn't exchange words or make threats or anything like that. Rather, I'd let them have the momentary delusion that I was intimidated, and then BAM, I'd punch them in the face and strangle them - I'd show know mercy.

OK, back to reality - I know it's best to avoid fights, and I don't want to wind up killed or in jail, but if somebody fucks with me, it's going to be hard to resist the temptation to go off. Fortunately, most people have the common sense not to fuck with me.

OK, so what was my point? Oh yeah, are kids today more brazen than ever?

Theyre about the same; now at the same time it's a radically different world from even 20 years ago, so I'd say the change is more in what the kids are plunged into. And ergo, what they do/use/misuse/abuse etc. And, yes, the old fogey factor will enter, but I said stupid shit, my friends did, and my students from a few years back said shit like that, so...
