View Full Version : Can Arnold Take The Pressure?

Do you think Arnold could take the pressure of the media and the Political Forum...
It seems lately they've been coming up with alot of Arnold's past that could be tough for him to explain, such as racial remarks, sexual promiscuity, steroid use. He has refused to participate in a Candidate debate.
To me the media would love to push these topics down his throat and i would think he would have to start to get pissed off and eventually decide it's not worth it.
What do you think?

Personally, I don't think the California voters care very much about his past indiscretions. He's a movie star, dammit.

i heard he was trailing as well...
i was just thinking that he is a "macho" type of person and he will eventually get tired of people taking "cheapshots" at him and it will get the 'best of him' to where he is going to 'lose it' or just quit...
i realize he is just running in Ca, but the National media have begun to have a field day with his personal life and eventually the other candidates
will as well. Not to say the other candidates don't have "sketchy" pasts but does Gary Coleman really have an image to uphold...

Ahnold's campaign strategy is to leverage his celebrity status, supplimented with generic populist political speeches. He had to have been warned that that strategy hinges on managing the barage of attacks without a substantive platform of policy ideas to draw attention away from his personal life. But I think he's in it for the long haul, and I think since he's already very rich and very famous, he doesn't really have much to lose by running and losing. It will only boost his celebrity status, and make him an even bigger box-office draw in the future. So I don't think you'll see him freaking out unless his people work some outburst into his campaign strategy. Really, the only thing he has to lose is his privacy, but since the pictures of his mule are already out there... fuck it! What I'd like to see is pictures of him dressed up like Nick Nolte in Breakfast of Champions, or better yet, Nick Nolte on a good weekend.

I wish the election was held that same week he was on the Tonight Show. I'd like to see him win, because that would be some funny shit.

He's going to win. Retarts in california will vote for him, you think those people actually even pay attention to backgrounds or anything? your giving a whole lot of um, WAYY too much credit. They'll vote for arnold because he is popular and because they know who he is. I think he'll win, im hoping he wont, but i think he will.

As much as I like Ahhnold, I think we'll be seeing him Dr0p out in the next 3 to 4 weeks. He's a bit out of his league with the professional politicians and the conflicting advise that he has been receiving from his "advisors"!!

You can't just ignore polls.
Arnold isn't just lagging, he's eating dust like he was Mama Cass on a ham sandwich.

Which poll? I hope you don't mean the LA times poll.
I've seen about two dozen different polls, and they're all over the road, but a good half show him close or leading Bustamante.
