I just finished watching the movie with Depp and Ricci.

How many versions of the Headless horsemen is there? And what was the original book, tale, fable about before people put their creative twist to the story.

I was expecting Icabob Crane to die but he didn't in this movie.

OK I read it. (or skimmed through it). So he could have died by the hands of the headless horsemen, or was scared off by a rival suitor and lives somewhere else now as a result.
