These are still two of my favorite albums which I still listen to quite regularly.

EXHORDER

This is one of those records that really blew me away back in 1990. S;aughter In The Vatican remains to be one of the most brutal records ever made. Venomous anger spewing forth out of the Bayou. I liked that kind of thing in high school.

The rumblings and power of this band had a slight influence on a major metal player over the next decade, Pantera. Many say that Pantera completely stole their sound and "new" attitude at the time from Exhorder. Being both from the NOLA and Dallas areas respectively I could see the charge but not sure if I buy it or not. Pantera did have a big change from Power Metal to their major label debut in Cowboys From Hell though. Who knows. Make up your own mind. Roadrunner should be rereleasing the Exhorder albums later on this year as a 2 for 1 dealie.
