The Post-Softball RFNet Sports Events Ideas Thread

I was wondering if there will be any kind of other sports get togethers for RFNet events similar to the softball games, such as football, touch football, flag football, or even hockey. We could play "capture the flag" or dodgeball even.

thats why i said we tried, and no one wanted to. its not hard to get an outting, but only 4 people wanted to.

and btw, though im all for any sport for an event, we gotta keep some things in mind. we did softball, and judging by the turnout, and the physical shape of the participants, golf and softball type sports may be the only option. im not tryin to insult everyone, but realistically, how well do you think a board football or hockey game would go over. not enough people im sure even would be willing to play to get a whole game, considering most didnt even want to play softball, HOSP :)

Listen up! You march, I'll join Raven and Nin with the drinking and pong.

So far, here is a list of people I can remember with hockey experience:
Raven, Mikey D, Harry Elvis, Billy Staples, Snoogs, Reef, Doogie, and me (Spoon). That's eight already and I'm sure Raven and I could get some others to come by and fill in the holes as we both play on teams currently at two rinks. Any ice hockey goalies in the bunch? I believe Pantera had in the past, but was it on ice? And Pantera makes 9 if it's ice.

DLKinison's idea is pretty cool, but I have a feeling the funds aren't there for a lot on this board.

Funk's idea is a little too Don and Mike for my liking, but Night Bowling at Bowlmor would be cool and cheap since it's all you can bowl on Monday for a small fee. Beer however is a little costly, as is the norm in NYC. We could get about 6 lanes in a row and form teams and all face eachother and crown a team and individual champ. ??

And Reef... that is the most pathetic fooseball table I ever did see!

A beerpong tourney would be great. We could charge $5 a player and pick teams from a hat at random. Chart up a bracket and the double elimination tourney is under way.

We sort of had a fooseball contest at the Slaughtered lamb a while back. I think Cruel Circus and Wookie something or other ran the table for a few hours.
