Why are ingrown hairs so fucking gross?

I thought I had poison ivy on my knuckle. Then it got a head, so I popped it. And son of a bitch, a little curled up hair came out of it with some weird little pour clot thing.

These things are fucking gross.

What causes a hair to go ingrown on a person? They suck.

Oh I can't deny the satisfaction of getting rid of them. It means you're cleaning your body up. Blech.

I just think they're kinda gross. I can deal with ingrown toenails. But these things are gross. I guess maybe because you can get them in hard to reach areas of your body. Or just areas of your body that you don't want to feel dirty on period.
