When you tell your man that you are going out with a male friend, and he doesn't react with a little jealously (even if you weren't looking for that reaction), do you get upset?

Now I know that every woman wants to feel special and the fact that your man might feel a bit jealous when you are around another man will do this, but c'mon...

When I was younger, it kind of bothered me if it seemed like he didn't care. But as soon as that initial emotional reaction is over, I saw that it is MUCH better to have that kind of trust in a relationship and not that 'machismo' jealousy that some guys can't let go of.

i dated a guy once who was a very jealous person. i hated it and what it did to my self esteem.
then again, another guy i dated didnt seem to ever get jealous. it was nice, knowing that he trusted me, but it also made me feel as if he didnt care, especially when i went out with some guys from work one night and crashed in one of the guy's hotel rooms.

Personally I've never been jealous with girlfriends hanging out with other guys. If my girl says she's hanging with guys or whatever I don't have the sense that I have to worry because of the trust involved the relationship. Should my girlfriend expect me to jealous, well I don't know. It would be phony for me to act that way. If I don't have enough trust in her to be out with people then why would I even be with her.
