Apparently our campaign of terror raging on has been successful. Blinkline is barely capable of taking requests anymore, so thoroughly inundated we have made it with requests for Ron and Fez.

The sight of it has brought tears of joy to my eyes and a nice warm feeling down here in the cockles.

Keep it up, folks. I wanna see if we can make the bot's server crash. :D

you can still request. you just can't type ron and fez in the artist field.

You ever stop to think about this? I mean like, really think about it? I mean, which tard over at Blink decided to go: "You know, I think people hate us. I know! We'll set up a AIM Bot that will take requests, and make people think that their songs they request may actually get played!"

Something I remember from when Don and Mike were on, is that they discussed the truth about request lines and bots, which confirmed a hunch that a vast majority of people suspected - which is that the request lines are never actually used, as those that play the music are given a very specific playlist. The only time they really check the Request lines/request bots are when they are trying to predict trends and popular groups.

....That being said, by chain IM-ing the Blinkline Bot, we are voicing our opinion that what we want to hear is Ron and Fez. If the damned thing is really used to predict trends, then mayhap the people who check it will realize it.

Still, I find it funny to think about the idiot who resides in the control room, checking the blinkbot. He's just sitting there, manning requests, checking what's coming through, and getting the usual fag-tastic requests, when all of a sudden, about 90 requests for Ron and Fez follow in, and then about 300 more.

Behind all this, we can rest assured that someone, somewhere, is freaking out over this. :D
