Listen to my story - I recall when I first learned of the loss of my beloved R&F. It was a traumatic experience - for all of us. I remember it like it was yesterday....

When I was working, a trio of shows, back-to-back, kept me laughing and entertained for a full day at a job I otherwise would have enjoyed killing myself at. Don and Mike, Opie and Anthony, and Ron and Fez.

When I was laid off, the shows were still on. However, within 8 months, we saw the loss of not only Don and Mike (Who, I did, surprisingly enjoy - Though a lot of people didn't) but Opie and Anthony as well. During my nearly year-long unemployment period, I looked forward to Ron and Fez every single night as it had quickly become my favorite show. It was the only thing left on the radio worth listening to. WNEW kept making them jump timeslots, but being unemployed, I followed faithfully. No show - be it TV or radio - could make me laugh like them. I knew they were embattled in a fierce embroglio with Infinity over possible format changes, but when I saw the lengths the fans went to promote the show - I was amazed. I thought I was the only one crazy enough to try that! It was truly a sight, and both Ron and Fez were touched by the lengths the fans went to.

It was a night like any other. I came upstairs to relax, and clicked on the radio. To my horror, an N'Sync song was on. I checked the radio, theorizing the station was wrong. It was right. I proceeded to turn on my PC. I was hoping there was some mistake. Some overthought. Surely Infinity was not dumb enough to ignore the will of the fans! It was the #1 show in New York!

My worst fears were realized as I visited WNEW's Website. My rage overwhelmed me as I saw the message Infinity gave us - the loyal listeners - with the format change, and it was all too clear:

"We don't give a damn about you. We didn't even let them say goodbye. Suck our asses, corporate america rules and there isn't anything you can do."

Reaching out to my fellow R&F Fans for the first time, I came into Ronfez.net. Here I not only learned the shocking full information about Infinity's choice, but I learned there were a lot of people who felt like me. Most touching of which was Heckler, who inspired me.

It's that same anger I feel towards Infinity, who screwed us, the R&F listeners over, that motivates me, to this day. We must never forget the day the laughter died.

One day, they will be in NY again - I don't care how, it will happen. It will! We'll make it happen!!!

hey man...a lot of us feel the same way. They make us laugh on a daily basis and allow thier listeners to get involved in the show. There is no show like this in the world (that i know of), that the hosts of the show make themselves as available to their loyal listeners and Ron and Fez do. The least we could do is give back a little and try to help them get back here. Keep up the good fight and know that you are not alone, there is help.

Dude, to quote a saying I hear at certain meetings I go to......"Thanks for sharing" Thats essentially my story also.

I am a freelancer, I was walking thru the city during the sex for sam show and listening on my walkman. I decided to divert my errands past St Patricks.

When I saw the quantity of police car s and officers, I thought someone is gonna pay for this. I never could of thought the ripple would have led to the loss of Ron and Fez.

I'll keep hope alive.

While I and many other listeners and fans of both O&A and Ron and Fez share you feelings, and I appreciate your thoughts here. The best thing you can do is to take those same words and put them to paper and send them to Infinity voicing your displeasure. I'm not saying don't share them here as well, but make sure you voice it in writing to Infinity Broadcasting...

You should also call Infinity and voice yourself.

There is a reason I posted this.

We can't let go of what Infinity did to us. Under no circumstances can we let this thing go. We want R&F Back - we're gonna have to fight for it. I know you guys agree. There's no way we can back off now.

Jaimas, you're making this sound as though it JUST happened. We've all been dealing with this. Many of us still write to Infinity to voice our feelings, as well as go to R&F events to show support. I understand how you feel and all, but the best thing you can do is write Infinity and be another voice adding to the many listeners who write to express their feelings over the whole thing.

It's a sad thing what has happened to our boys, Jaimas. But they still have a job, and still spread their comedy, and as long as they are able to give fans a show, we should remain hopeful. There is always a possibility of them being heard on a radio program that we will all be able to hear. Until that day comes, let infinity know that you still love and miss them, and you want them back in your hometown!

Capos forever!
