Jesus. It was like 80 a couple days ago, and then BOOM!

Now it is REALLY fall. It got cold one night while my windows were open and I woke up with that sand paper throat feeling. Swell.

So now I'm a nasaly mess of a human being. SO who's with me?

Come on in and talk about it! We can hang out, eat bacon we can't even taste and compare how green/yellow our loogies are!

It's killing me.

I came down with whatever the hell this is last week at this time, and was hopped up on drugs to get me through Movie Night, thought I was about through with it by Monday, but this bitch just won't go away. Now it's just hanging around in my chest - my coughs sound like the mating call of a Rhino.

Everyone instantly asks if I'm REALLY all right, like I've never been sick before, and don't know when it's just a cough, or if I've been stricken by cancer.

And what pisses me off is that if I don't instantly have a fever, I can't rule out allergies right away.

I was sick all last week, though I blame that to wearing shorts and a t-shirt (it was high 70's) to the Bruins training camp. I could see my breath in that arena.

I caught it last Tuesday and it kicked my ass the first couple of days. Now it is just lingering but still sucks. I haven't been sick in over 5 years, I literally forgot how awful it is to feel this way.

Not sick yet, but even if I was this is my favorite season by far.

The skies are usually brilliantly blue and clear during the day, it's nice and cool, but you can get by with just long sleeves or a light jacket. It's still pretty green out, and everything just seems so much more "comfortable"...

Oh, don't misunderstand. The fall is THE BEST season off all.

I just got totally faked out by that last week of warm weather into that one surprise night of cold. Now I am a mess of phlegm and coughing for 2 or 3 days. I fear tomorrow will be that one WORST day of a cold. but it's all uphill from there.

And the real kick in the balls is that BOTH of my nostrils started bleed today. So there's a good chance that both of them will start bleeding everytime I blow my nose. Thanks for that.

I must wholeheartedly agree.

I can't describe to you all how happy I was to wake up this morning and discover that the highest it was going to get was about 60 degrees. I was pratically giddy.

That's how it started for me too. The sore throat. And the cold wasn't right after the sore throat. Watch it man. Take care of yourself for a few days. I think the sore throat might have left me open for the fucking cold.

Getting better fast is all about orange juice and sleep.

I had the soar throat for 2 days followed by the cold in the middle of last week. I was over it in 4 days because I slept in Tuesday till 2:30 PM. It works. And keep downing the OJ. (The juice, not the killer.)

I love this weather also, but i don't have any long sleeve shirts or anything because i still haven't gotten all my clothes to my residence hall. So I'll be stuck wearing my Tony Banks jersey tomorrow. Yay.......

I usually never open my windows either. But it was that weird time where it's cold out, so you feel guilty using the AC, but it's hot enough in your house where you end up doing it anyway at like 3 Am after not sleeping well for hours.

I have a "Hawk Fact" that people who have never smoked might find oddly interesting. While I have now quit to the point of only smoking when I party and blow rails (handful of times a year) I ended up having one of those times two Sunday's ago hence my post.

Most smokers can predict when they are about a day or two away from getting a cold without ANY normal cold symptoms. How?

Cigarettes take on a very distinct flavorless taste about them one or two days before a cold will hit. The individual will have NO signs otherwise that the cold is near. I can just about set my watch by it! This is not to just a few, I'm talking about every smoker that has had a cold knows exactly what I am talking about. I personally get a legitimate 48 hours notice by that distinct taste.
