If anyone wants to know the results to Summerslam, here they are. I got them from wrestleline.com. Personally I enjoyed the ppv even though the last three matches were predictable as hell. RVD Vs Jeff Hardy was great. RVD rules! Enjoy.

WWF SummerSlam 2001 Recap
Aug. 20, 2001

The Rock has some gold again. (WOW)

WWF SummerSlam 2001 is in the books. The Rock is still the People's Champ... and he's also the WCW Champion, having pinned Booker T for the gold in the second of two main event title matches. Stone Cold Steve Austin, on the other hand, succeeded in holding on to his WWF Title in a hot match against Kurt Angle with the help of WCW referee Nick Patrick, in the only championship bout of the night that didn't see any gold change hands.

Here are your match-by-match results from the just-completed SummerSlam:

- Edge pinned Lance Storm to win the WWF Intercontinental Title. Very solid match, with lots of near falls and counter-wrestling. Late in the match, Storm caught Edge in his half-crab finisher, and Edge made it to the ropes to force a break. Then Edge locked Storm in a half crab of his own, but did not get a submission. The finish came when Christian ran in to (presumably) spear Storm, but Storm sidestepped Christian. Edge got speared instead, but was able to kick out of the pinfall. After Christian left the ring, Edge caught Storm with the Impaler DDT for the pin and the title. Post-match, Christian entered the ring behind Edge with the IC belt in his hands (teasing a possible double-cross, judging by the camera angle), handed the belt to Edge and hugged him. He exited the ring to allow Edge a solo celebration.

- The Dudley Boyz & Test defeated The APA and Spike Dudley (w/ Molly Holly) when Test pinned Bradshaw. This started out being your standard six-man affair, but it finished strong. Test picked up Spike near the end and tossed him over the top rope and through a table at ringside, garnering a big pop from the crowd. Very cool spot... Paul Heyman's fingerprints all over it. Bradshaw caught Test with the Clothesline from Hell immediately after the Spike table spot to another big reaction, and went for the pin. Shane McMahon ran in with a chair and waffled Bradshaw while the referee was unawares, allowing Test to score the tainted pinfall.

- In a backstage vignette, the WWF boys are congratulating Edge on his IC Title victory. Christian arrives, happy as can be... announcing that Commissioner Regal's granted him a European Title shot against Matt Hardy (who's standing right in front of Christian and Edge for the conversation) for tomorrow's Raw. Edge looks a little disturbed that Christian is thinking about that in the middle of Edge's big moment. Christian then gets a phone call from his Grandma Edna, who tells him to put Edge on. Edge accepts Grandma Edna's congrats, and gives the phone back to Christian... who is extremely upset that she has hung up before he can talk to her. (Grandma YOKO is more like it... hmmpf.)

- In another backstage vignette, Shawn Stasiak is just about the last person Debra would like to see right now, and she tells him as much.

- WCW Cruiserweight Champion X-Pac pinned WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Tajiri to unify the undersized titles for the second time in a month. This was the latest in a string of constantly improving matches out of X-Pac, who more than held up his end against the popular Tajiri. The finish came when Tajiri sprayed Albert off the apron with the red mist of saliva-enhanced grotesqueness... then turned right in the X-Factor and got pinned. Tajiri had a very creative counter to the bronco-buster at one point, kicking X-Pac's legs so that he landed squarely in Tree of Woe position, where Tajiri could then kick his head into the fifth row with a baseball slide. For his end, X-Pac nailed a nice somersault plancha out of the ring, as he continues trying to recapture a bit of his aerial game. Tajiri worked the Tarantula, the Asai moonsault and a surfboard-like pin attempt in
