I liked it better the first time i saw it, when it was called The hills have Eyes.

i seriously didn't like it.

Coincidentally I just read that they are doing a remake of the Hills Have Eyes.
It'll be straight to video.

I really, really wanted to like this film. But I couldn't. It was poorly acted (I know that comes as a shock), and what little plot it had just disintegrated in the last 20 minutes. Worst of all, the entire film was just pointless and senseless violence. The violence is worthwhile if there's some point to it all, some resolution, but here it was just brutality for its own sake.

I'd like to see Rob make another film, because I think that with the right material he may actually become a capable enough director - at least in this genre - but this movie was just a mess.

Rob Zombie's next film is House of 2000 Corpses, no joke. Personally i enjoyed H of 1K C. I thought it was a B-Movie with an amazing budget. i like the b-movies

OK I finally did see it and I was disappointed.
There really was no story or what there was convoluted..

Any help on these ? :

1) Was Capt Spaulding part of the family ?
2) What was the tie between the family and Dr Satan ?

Capt Spauldings character did kick ass. He was an old character actor that was on TV all the time in the 80's. I remember he was in an episode of the A Team. He played a biker that was in the same jail as the team.

And that chick, Baby, she was pretty hot.
